We then came up with a solution then would be easy to implement, and is probably already a plugin for these sets of boards.
A built in java-irc client for all our non irc users
It'd be simple to apply, and would probably use pjirc (a very good java-irc based application).
I've thought of this in the past, but never bothered posting it.
Please give your feedback on the matter...Espcialy the admins, in which control more/less all plugins/themes
Thanks for your time aswell
===On a side note===
When I was talking to a first time offender about copy/pasting...He said he couldn't see the edit button.
Has the ability to edit been removed from posters???
2: yes the ability for users to edit has been removed. They should post the edits and report the post stating which post it should edit.

2. I think we should reinstate the editbutton for some classes of users atleast....
With say 100 posts minimum.
It was quite hard to figure out why one of the users I was talking to couldn't edit his posts

Secondly - since our board depends heavily on the credits system - imagine one of the regular members - even with more than 100 posts decides to play rogue. He makes a post filled with 1meg of garbage and just 5 lines of useful text on top. Now the credits systems allots him over 100credits and then he promptly uses Edit to clear out all the garbage. He makes a cool profit of 100credits with a post worth maybe hardly 1 credit. Do we really have a way of detecting this ?? No - we dont. This exploit can be abused severely if the word gets out. it has been abused earlier - and it will be if the edit button is allowed to be used. Thus, as long as we're using the current credit calculation engine - we have to resort to the more tedious method of editing the posts all by ourselves.
That really clears things up...
Still though, the edit problem makes me sad
