Have any of you tried a hand at assembling your own dualboot linux+windows system? ._. If so, what were the details? XD Y'know...time + cost ..difficulty level...etc. I'm really wondering...cause I'd like to try a hand at it if it's within my reach..=)
[Edit: Or have you tried installing Linux on your XP? Does that work better than windows?]

Notice from m^e:
Worthless junk - he's already asked same question on FC3 and XP dual-booting. This is essentially the same using different phraseing. Moved to junk.

The thing about dual boot is that when u install WindowsXP or any Windows for that matter it overwrites the Master Boot Record (place where boot information is stored). So what u need to do is install Windows first and then install Linux. You can do the other way too but its easy. Make sure that wehn you install Windows you make only one partition ..ie C and leave all space unformatted. Then install Linux and Place the bootloader in MBR. Then configure your bootloader to boot windows and Linux (very simple conf settings..seacrh the web on HOWTOs dual boot.)
If you have any problem doing all this or don't understand ..then private messege me.
Also Linux is much fast and Stable than Windows ..but its not as easy to use for some newbies.
