Ok, at some point we apparently ended up being listed as a free vid and music host by some dude on MySpace, while it brings us several (too many actually) new members, usually they spam and just wanna get hosting for music files, which is against the TOS.

If you get more questions about music hosting, PLEASE JUST WARN AND PM "THe question you posed about music hosting has been answered in at least 5 topics, so SEARCH the forums first. And we also recommend reading the rules."

Or something like that, but truly answering the same question 3 times a day or even twice in the same topic, is seriously overkill.

So inevitably I intend to enforce the rules like a stuck up witch, because all this junk seriously affects the overall quality.

And is astahost liable if a member hosts music that he does not own permissions to?

I surely hope Astahost can not be held liable for that one, otherwise we'd have to check EVERY hosting account from the cPanel or WHM :D

Private Viz reporting for duty, and armed with my baby, the kricket gun (my mouse). As to the liability of astahost, it entirely depends, if it were a US company, then the answer would lie more with the particular judge. Since OpaQue has the company set up in India (I think), it changes the rules.
