Hi All.
If I'm to get my hosting plan on here, I plan on making my posts count. To make my posts count, I need to be of use to you all
Here's the catch. I'm a bit of an authority on PSP and NDS homebrew. First thing I'm going to state is the requirements before you all ask things.
NDS Users: Flash card required in GBA slot. I recommend M3 or Supercard. Any other brand is fine, but you MUST have a flashcard to use homebrew and roms. Emulation on the DS is not a subject I'm too willing to go into. Frankly it's pathetic. The DS is NO USE for playing Snes, Genesis etc. The GBA emulators for Nes, mastersystem and a few others are all rather good though.
PSP Users: You must first check your psp's firmware.
1.0 and 1.5 owners can do anything. Play isos, run emulators, homebrew is WIDE OPEN if you have a 1.5.
2.0 users can also do lots. They cannot play isos however. They can run almost all emulators and homebrew however.
2.01, 2.5, 2.6 users can play some emulators and homebrew if they own grand theft auto. ONLY if they own GTA liberty city stories however. They cannot play isos or otherwise.
2.7 users are screwed. You shouldn't have updated. Sorry. your own fault.
Now... I'm a very patient and n00b friendly kinda guy. I won't bite your head off for asking things, but don't ask me anything if you have a version 2.7 psp or you have no DS flash card. I specialise in all areas of both consoles, and I'm a total emu fanatic. I'll also answer iso related questions, as I'm the first to admit that I have 10gb's worth of psp memory (3 2gb cards, one of which is fake, and a 4gb card.) which is hugely for this purpose. Who wants to carry bundles of UMDS when you can carry a case with your psp, and 3 tiny little memory sticks?
Anyway, feel free to PM me, and I'll check back here daily and will ALWAYS help out someone who asks me something.

I don't have a PSP, but I was under the impression that you could just reflash your firmware with a lower version if you have one that is too updated for the homebrew to work? If not, they should really figure out how to do that haha

Nope
They're making incredible progress with the N64 emulator just now, and sony are releasing an official PS1 emulator, though that'll be easily ripped and turned to the hackers advantage. Before you ask, N64 should eventually become perfectly playable with sound. I don't think we'll be seeing that till around the end of the year though.
I've owned a tapwave zodiac, GP32 and many other homebrew friendly consoles, and I know the painful fact that nobody is even remotely interested in developing for it and sticking with it generally. Speaking of that, If you guys need any help with those consoles too, or Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox homebrew, then I'm incredibly clued up
