Hey all! I finally built my website, took me a few years to finally decide what website I was going for. I finally got it built!

haha just messing with you. I'm not going to register now because I dont feel like it as I just got to work, but the site looks nice. Clean layout, gentle colors. Physically it looks nice. Content I'll take a peek at later heh

@Sten, I wouldn't really call it a portal, it's more like a lightweight CMS when you look under the hood. You can create pages, customize where everything goes. However, it does centre everything to the forums. Also, the beauty of Quicksilver Forums is its object-oriented programming functions and its modlet feature. Thereby, automatically remove the need to modify system files to have a mod or addon run.

lol, true, then again Astahost has been here since 2005, so I guess it'll take a while.

I guess it's correct to call them portals. Doesn't matter, it's all symantecs.

If you know how to make skins for Quicksilver Forums (and/or it's portal system), maybe. Plus, your website is down.

Alright, I just scrapped my old website all together and just made a new one. I used two systems (Movable Type and MyTopix) this time. However, the only downside I see using these 2 systems is that you have to register twice to use the system fully (sorry), unless of course you have a LiveJournal, Vox, or OpenID account, then you can use those to sign into the Movable Type system. I had to overhaul my forum system because I couldn't split the forum tables from the portal in the old system.

instead of using movable type and mytopix, theres always silver stripe (http://www.silverstripe.com) which is a cms and forum in one. people only need to sign up to the one and u can use that openID thing u were talking about (i only found out about openID today, lol.)
