Hi,

I am trying to introduce a quota management software system into my network. I am looking for a free alternative that can introduce management of how much is downloaded per user.

What I was thinking was...
if when you goto opening the internet, before it loads the page asks you to login, username and password and once that has been entered and authenticated then you can continue surfing. I was think something like a proxy server that you can run of your computer or of a network server.

just wondering if there was some software out there like this, im going to do my own research, but I would also like your input too!
