Should I suspend all their accounts before I post their names here? I see that one of them is still online now and suspended his posting rights...

I will delete all their postings...all in this topic too. Makes it easier to track them (one person?) down and kill him quickly :P

Thanks vujsa. I think I saw a topic created for this somewhere when I was perusing around earlier, but can we have a topic dedicated to posting spammers to ban? Hate to clutter this staff board with new topics just because we have to ban members each time :P

Actually, if these are the guys I think they are, they were reported by normal members. Our members have been doing a good job of reporting posts.

In addition, should we make this thread sticky and just post users we feel should be banned here, instead of starting a new thread each time, or PMing admins?

Yeah, the members have reported these and I still see them around. So I suspended each of those accounts (probably multiple accounts from one or two trouble makers).

Yes, that's what I want also :P Don't remember where I saw a topic about this before. But I guess we can use this as a new starting point.

I dunno if WeaponX already pinned this, but in case he didn't, I did. So now this thread should simply be a list of spammers that need banning (or people who need banning for other reasons) and updates on the status of the bannings.

Is this to request listed spammers IP ban from AstaHost or just banning members from viewing AstaHost to prevent spamming?

IP ban should be the last resort. Preventing IP address can hurt AstaHost from having new members in the future. Dynamic IP addresses will be recycled to other people down the road...

If it's just banning a member from spamming, please use either DISABLE INDEFINITELY or SUSPEND a member. Disabling indefinitely blocks from posting but still can send PM and edit profile information. SUSPEND shows nothing to a member account owner so he/she cannot edit, send PM or post anything. It's worse than being a guest. All these can be managed by moderators so it may not require admin's action.

Please use IP ban accordingly :P

OK thats what I have been doing, but upon seeing this I thought maybe it had been decided somewhere along the line to officially ban the accounts, didn't see a reason for it but meh, I follow blindly :P But yea, I normally just indef disable their ability to post and that seems to fix the problem lol

@xboxrulz: Just click on their warning increase bar under their username. Give your reason for suspending and put 99,999 days under suspension. I see a few bad apples already...banning them as we speak :P

Although I was aware that only HOSTED members can be viewed, I can see my own hosting credits. So either admins can see it all or it may not be the restricted case here in AstaHost.

To view other's hosting credits (use it wisely :)) go to the Process page and select option #5 View Others Credits.
