Ummm... guys, why do I have both versions 2 and 3. I see 2 is still active, what's up with that? I thought we officially moved to 3? If I drain out on 2 would I lose my hosting?

The hosting credit "box" you see at the forum index is just an inactive coding that OpaQue left alone for now. When he upgrades our forum to the next IPB version, that message box will go away.

The hosting credit calculating script runs at the backend and the forum skin merely shows the value of a variable. And since he is planning to upgrade he just left it alone rather than removing the whole skin.

When the forum is upgraded you will no longer see hosting credits. Hosting Credit System V2 stopped when Credit System V3 was integrated.

So if that thing dries out, my hosting is still safe right?

Yes.

All we are concentrating it the myCENT value, which it seems like it's directly proportion to hosting credits. It's because OpaQue did it remove the old hosting credit calculation script and the hosting credit variable is still embedded to the forum skin. So in a way, they are independently earning "credits" but your hosting will be solely depended on myCENT value earned that converts to account credit balance.
