hey , a few months ago i made up my mind i wanted to create an online text based game, (i no its hard so please do not try and ram that into me), i have been searching the web for good tutoirals, so far i have not found any worth while ones yet.

please reply if you no any good tutorials, video tutoirals even better , and any php books aswell, that u may have bought and found helpful. thanks .

It is not hard to make a text based game, all you need is simple PHP and mysql knowledge. Ofcourse your not gona make a money maker from the first attempt but with training and repetition you will get better quickly.I don't know any sites that teach how to make games but i know sites which teach php and mysql.

As for designing, your game needs to be atractive, so i suggest you learn some CSS here
