I don't really thinks he deserve's it yet because he has just posted 2 copied articles within a few minutes.
what do you guys think about this?
It also seems this is happening a lot these days.
I reduce the hosting credits on the cut and paste and they start all over.
Nils
If you find copied material, put the post invisible, warn the user put in the note and close the post. Don't delete the content because I need it to reduce the hosting credits. With no content there no hosting credits taken away when I run the script.
When you set the post invisible only admin and moderators can see the content so it don't matter that you leave it there. As soon as I reduced hosting credits I may move the post to the Staff, spammed forum or just delete it.
So:
- Warn member, use the link from the post to show what post warning is for, place a link to where the copied material is from in the warning
- Pu the note in the PM part for the user and make sure we PM it to him (If you get negative reputation from a user as a revenge I remove it and it's grounds for termitation)
- Set post invisible.
- Close the post
- put a note and you are done
PS. This extra work is one of the reasons we let posts count in staff area, the time spent on one of this moderations cost you time and the ability to build your own hosting credits.

It's all the people who find us using google search. Explain what they have to do and close the post. No need to deny or approve.Nils
Can I have a rant about this?
No serious, I think we should make a standard post. For people who request hosting, without posts (since that means they OBVIOUSLY didn't bother to read the TOS etc). A post that gives links to those documents, post which explains what to do etc. Since the posts requesting hosting don't count or give credits, it would be ok to use a prewritten post. (I tend to do that, I have a prewritten one, that I adapt slightly each time I reply to the "hosting request" because otherwise I may not sound that nice
I'll keep your advice in mind.

Can I have a rant about this?Well, if they used the request form, then they had links to the TOS, AUP, Forum Rules, and Forum Introduction provided to them but chose not the read them. If they didn't use the request form, then they are told to use the form.
Either way, they were given the chance to read the required information but chose not to. Additionally, their application clearly states that they read and agree with the fore mentioned links.
I guess I'm saying that by the time they actually posted their free web hosting request, they have had more than one oppurtunity to read the directions, so I don't feel too sorry for them. On the otherhand, if we banned every idiot that messed up their application, then we would lose a lot of potentially good members. So yes, maybe holding their hand through the new member orintation process is a good idea.
