The reasons for removing the edit button have been discussed numerous times and are very sound. The mods and admins handle the situation very well, and IO have only had the opportunity to fix a post once.~Viz
Come to think of it, I haven't had to edit a post since vizskywalker was made a moderator. Now that he can edit his own posts, the rest of us have had less work.
I posted a topic in the announcement forum with instructions for users to report posts that need to be edited. Additionally, there is a moderator tutorial on how to deal with the requests.
The instructions outlined in these two posts were approved by Admin.

Vujsa's topic is very helpful, and didn't you (you being vujsa) make a bookmark by which we could a link to that post into the shoutbox and posts easily?

Still, it'd be userfull if the users could edit their own posts, but cause problems like:
*Changing something bad they said before a mod has time to see it.
-I guess it's all a matter of trust? lol.
Meh...I trust the people at my forums, so I gave em set right.
It'd be ez to change though, it's inside IPB settings (@ jipman)
I think limiting the oppurtunities to cheet the system is worth having the staff help edit a small number of posts each week. There are several of us after all.
