There is a great duo from the UK known as Grand National, who I can't get out of my disc player.
I am in the States, and after hearing a sample of their music last fall, I had to purchase their album "Kicking thr National Habit" from an overseas vendor, and it was well worth it.
They have a sound somewhere betweeen the rock supergroup the Police, shades of raggae/ska and house music. I understand they will release their album stateside sometime this summer.
I can post the URL of their band website, but I'm not sure yet of that is within the guidelines of this site, so feel free to private message me and I'll send the link if anyone is interested.
Otherwise, I'd love some suggestions for music along these lines if anyone has them to offer. I am a music collector and always looking for new music to check out.
