today i learned to work with "fidelio" at school
probably you wont know it
its software that is used in hotels for making guest profiles, regestering guests, checking in guests, making bills and much more
it runs in dos so theres les chance that things block and get stuck
its really easy to use and its used in most of the hotels
so if u have worked in an hotel in france that was using it
you can also work in a hotel in las vegas
not that this is important
but hey i learned sompething new

I believe that they use breeze where I work as an Audio Visual Specialist...
I'm not really at the Front desk area of the Hotel. I am more of the meeting planning, staffing and execution side, so I rarely see the software.
But does that software allow planning for meetings???

The Fidelio Suite is owned by Micros: http://www.micros.de/
There are several modules like Fidelio Front Office, Fidelio Roomplanner, Fidelio Engineering and so on ... Find a complete list HERE
This kind of software can hardly be found on the internet, because the software is not always being sold on CD, so even the Sysadmins don't have a CD. Check the hardware requirements before you buy.
Ah ... by the way ... Fidelio is the title of the only opera that Beethoven has ever written.

Wow, I wonder if it would work for our hotel, have to talk to EM about it.
I like that it has a catering and Planning Module...
