Here is a link to a site that lists loads of examples of Java code.
http://javaalmanac.com/egs/?
They have examples of setting up a JDBC/ODBC connection for database use, creating ZIP files for archival purposes, and simply showing you how to use vectors. This site is great for learning the basics and building applications on top of it.
Hope you enjoy!

I think that this resource is useful for the ones that know Java already. Because beginner can't understand the code. They don't have to book to guide them (The Java Developers Almanac 1.4)

Yes, pretty big resource. But actually i need a tutorial. Could anyone give me a site with JAVA tutorials ?The greatest thing about Java is that it is heavily documented. If you want Java tutorials, why not go directly to the people who created the language?
http://java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/index.html
There are loads of tutorials on that site ranging from howtos on Beans, GUIs, and Security.

P.S.: Is there any IDE for Java under *nix (FreeBSD,Linux)?

Who needs an IDE to compile Java code under Unix? Just use VI.
But if you must, you can try NetBeans, Eclipse, and I'm sure there should already be some type of Universal Language IDE already installed.
