This is nice. Considering that they have a massive selection of anti-spyware/adware programs for download *grins*
Download.com is basically the first place I go to look for freeware (though they also have lots of share/trialware). Even if I know what I want to try (specific program) I usually go here because at least I can look at other users' reviews and opinoins before I actually grab and install the programs.

www.tucows.com used to be good but I can't really say what it's like now.
www.nonags.com is also a good place to search for freeware.
www.freewarehome.com has a new cleaner look which helps searching thru their neatly organized site.

that sounds lame. if you're looking for like art and graphic freeware, i'd definitely go for GIMP. usually i google it..."(what software you're searching for)" + "free download" a lot will come up as trial versions, but there'll be some freeware

They have any kind of programs as well. Not sure how many, but im sure you will find what you are looking for and even more!!

A really good freeware site is at www.Dixlinx.Com All of the software here is safe and the owner writes some pretty decent reviews.

tucows isn't bad either although I haven't downloaded from there in a couple of years since discovering the above 2 sites.
Browse around, there are plenty out there.
