just a short tutorial, if you are sick of those yellow post-its on your monitor saying: 'get milk' 'post new tutorial' and so on. you only need outlook. you don't have to save every time you exit it, it will do so automatically, and it opens fast. this is what you do:
- Start Outlook - Click File > New > Note - Go to Personal folders > Notes **Right click on the note now to change the color** - Minimize everything but Outlook, and drag the note to your desktop - Change the name & make some random content - You are done!

Hi, All, Now I got another issues that I wanted to implment a window that will snap to desktop
edge. What I'am do now was creating it with timer and some windows api to check positions say if
within a range then move the form window to any edge. But this has an issue with it the window will

I found out about this error as I got home and discovered that no one used the computer because they
couldn't get into Windows! When I boot into Windows, the Welcome screen does not show up and
instead shows an error that says: lsass.exe - System Error Click OK to terminate. Click Cancel to
debug. No matter what you click, it will go away and leave a blank screen. Pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL or
CTRL+SHIFT+ESC will not do anything and at that point you must restart. Initially I went into Safe
Mode and Windows loaded there (I'm still in Safe Mode). I tried a System ....

Is there some way that I can use remote desktop without it locking the user's screen? As if
i'm trying to troubleshoot a problem over the network i want them to be able to see what i'm
doing to their machine so they can learn, but I can't figure out how to do it. I don't need
it to have dual keyboard and mouse input, I just need the monitor on their end to be enabled as well
as mine. Possibly a third-party program is available for this?....
This happened last night when I hit ALT+CNTL+DEL to quit a process. Now the Task manager is missing
the minimize, close bar and the ability to choose Application/Process/etc.. And this is after a
couple restarts and everything. Now if I have to force quit an application, the task bar is always
on top, does not show up in the sistray and requires a restart to get rid of. This is with XP

I want a batch/dos file that will ping certain IP addresses at intervals of say 1 hour. If the IP
address is not pingable after each hourly checkup, I want it to give some kind of warning. Maybe
startup a notepad file and indicate the IP address that lost the network connection. I will want to
improve on this later on, but for now, a simple dos batch file or something similar will do.

Hi, I keep getting this VGA Mode Not Supported message on the LCD monitor whenever it tries to go
into Windows. I have read up on this online and it seems to be a problem with the refresh rate. The
problem is that I can't boot into Safe Mode to change the refresh rate to a lower setting
because it either freezes or also shows that VGA Mode message again. This is a Compaq that I'm
fixing for someone and they just have the 5 recovery discs that came with it. I tried putting the
first one in and selected to do the format and recover option. It goes through the reco....
Hi ! I just buyed a new LCD monitor to replace my old CRT monitor. The new monitor have two
conection options: VGA and DVI. Now I have it connected to VGA, because my graphic card do not have
the DVI conection. I don't know if image quality will change between VGA and DVI. If I buy a
new graphics card with DVI output I will see any quality improvement? The graphics card I have now
is a nVidia 5200 so in fact I am not needing more graphics performance and if I buy a new one will

My cousin's computer seems to have a bad VGA monitor cable. The problem is that when I turn it
on, it seems to be ok, it says auto-configure....then it goes blank (orange light on monitor power
button). I looked at the VGA connector pins and see that pins 4 and 11 are missing. Just to be
curious, I looked at the end connected to the LCD and it's also missing pins 4 and 11. Is this a

Dual monitors are awesome, but how cool would it be if you could get an image to span across both
monitors, rather than the image being cloned on both monitors? This is how to do it: take and
image that has the dimensions desired, save it on your hardrive. then right click on your desktop
--> properties --> desktop tab --> choose "none" for wallpaper --> click Customize Desktop --> "web"
tab --> "new" button --> Browse --> double click the picture you are looking for --> "OK" --> "OK"
--> "OK" --> the image is now on the desktop, however it may be off center. simply ....

Ever since i started using linux, ive been a KDE user. Every now and again, maybe 4 times in total,
ive tried Gnome. I dont know why, but i just keep getting drawn towards it, only to then gt scared
off, and go back to the familiar KDE interface. Only this time, ive moved over to Gnome, and i love
it ! gnome 2.8 didnt quite work for me, but 2.10 (and the up comming 2.12) have me hooked. Ive even
started un-installing most of my KDE components. I think in the end, it wasnt that i prefere Gnome
to KDE, but rather, i prefere GTK to QT. KDE just seems so clutttered, and....
I've decided to convert to an LCD monitor over the CRT, which I believe to be infinitely better.
Anyway there are certain applications that, when I start up, the monitor goes black and a message
says: Out of Timing H: 43 Hz V 27kHz. Or something like that. Any help? Drivers are up to date, and
I think it's not influenced by resolution. I'd like to get this to work because it was
