| | ok so Microsoft has had a few "leaks" of information on Windows "Longhorn". I know that it supposed to release it early 2006 but we're talking about Microsoft here so no telling when it will be released. It is supposed to be the most graphically enhanced GUI OS out there and they are having a hard time on finding computers that are compatible with this new OS, also some of the features that are coming out on Longhorn are coming out on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
How much do you know so far about it? |

Microsoft Forces The Use Of Directx With Vista
- Operating Systems : Windows (3)
Once again Microsoft screws over lots of people and tries to force their standards rather than
accepting what everyone else wants. It really, really annoys me that they get away with things like
this. I can see a lot of people who use Linux possibly moving back to Windows if Microsoft was more
open, and didn't try to use only their APIs. They are abusing their position. If developers want
to use OpenGL, then let them. Don't for many of them to learn DirectX. This is going to KILL the
performance of lots of games that use OpenGL. I really hope that some of the big...
