ctrl+shift+esc = task manager (windows 2000) print screen = whole screen in clipboard alt+print screen = active window in clipboard [edit boxes] (notepad, renaming etc.) home = beginning of line current line end = end of current line ctrl+home = goto first character ctrl+end = goto last character ctrl+left arrow = goto first character of previous word (different from program to program) ctrl+right arrow = goto first character of next word (different from program to program)

I always use SHIFT+DEL as cut and SHIFT+INS as paste. CTRL Y is sometimes "redo." Also, I've found that if there's something going wrong with the keys (e.g., the buttons don't seem to work), pressing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT sometimes helps.

Some people have F2 instead of F8, F12 instead of F10, etc... Wait, hold on... Those aren't short-cuts anyway! They're the only keys you can press for that function, aren't they?

Easy way to hibernate ur computer Hibernation is a really great way to save power and start the pc faster.u need to enable hirnation from controlpanel->power options. Just create a new shortcut on the desktop by right clicking and pressing New->shortcut In the taget box print this exactly %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState and rename it to hibernate and choose a icon of the type that u like to put for it. now u can hibernate ur system at just one click. Tip:Always make sure that the prompt user for password when system resumes from standby is enabled in the advanced tab in the power options otherwise your os will be loaded without any password entry.
