Wifi On Knoppix-std - With a Netgear WG511T

Today I discovered that among the million things I don't really know how to do in linux, there's one thinkg I REALLY don't have a clue of how to even start.

I just downloaded knoppix-std and wanted to use it with my netgear wg511t adapter, and I realized, I don't know how to install this device in a live CD distro, or how to install any other device in knoppix for that matter, can anyone give me a little hint please?

Well i can try and help. i wanted to do exactly the same thing - wifi on knoppix. i never figured it out and installed kubuntu anyway. So here is how to set this up and this should hopefully work - im not a hardware person but im guessing that kde will have support.

First - Open KWiFiManager from one of the many menu's - putting that into the konsole should get it too.

Go to Settings => Configuration Editor.
Fill in all the appropriate details
Down the bottom you need to autodetect the device
Then activate the configuration
Then apply

Next open Konqueror
Settings => Internet and Network => Network Settings
Configure the settings and Enable
Then apply

That should give you the wifi and then just start samba or whatever you want and knoppix should be easy on the rest. I hope this works - Im pretty sure it should, onyl problems i can think of could be irritating needing root - and i havent a clue what the knoppix password is - i think it is autogenerated.

Slow Wifi connection when in WDS mode (3)
I have been experiencing slow connection on my WiFi network. There are 2 AP's (accesspoint) 1 is
connected to the router upstairs, and the other is stand alone downstairs. Both the AP's are in
WDS mode (bridged). I noticed when they are in WDS mode, the connection speed at the downstairs AP,
slow down alot. But the connection to the AP upstairs is quite fast. Modem --> AP 1 (WDS mode)

is the slave AP. So why is the connection slow??? the signal strenght of both....

I always get nothing.I need to send some big files to my desktop so I can burn them onto DVD. Does
anyone know how I can do this?....

Ok, so here's the story: Where I live, there are two connection options. The first is Dial-Up,
which needless to say bites. The second is business-grade radio. My home, connected through Dial-Up,
is around 400 feet from my place of business, connected through the radio link. What I need to do is
connect the shop and the house within one network. Here's the problems I face: 1) Running a
wired network would be very expensive, as I would have to bury the CAT-5, install surge protectors,
and the line would have to cross a large stream. 2) The shop is totaly surou....

Well, yesterday at my friend's house, we made a prototype , but we need to remake it, because
we couldn't find a hosering, so we just attached the USB WiFi adapter to the sieve with wire,
