I think we all know AstaHost is the best yet. "Free Professional Web Hosting" Is a really good thing to hear.

although i have never used any of these hosts ill vote with astahost as there forums are great to post on and great help is provided by all the members and staff, keep up the good job guys

Out of this list, I have only used Geocities and AtSpace.
Well Geocities is terrible. I dont recommend anyone to go for that service.
Tons of Ads and yet a very slow service.

Atspace is quite good, infact very good, as they provide u Hosting without any Ads, and yet they have fast Servers. However, the service is getting slower day by day, due to the excessive user registrations.
The only Drawaback is that they do not support any kind of Scripting as PHP or CGI nor do they provide any Databases.

So, finally AstaHost.
hmmmm .... what to say about it ????

Anywayz, since this is my first Posts, so I am still earning Credits, and I have not yet tried AstaHost ...
so NO COMMENTS

After I have tried the service, than I will come back again and post the actual review .....

So for the time being .... The best host is AtSpace

Haha, but yea personally I've tried Free, geo, 50, and asta... and I completely hated everything about the other 3. They had insane downtimes, horrible ftp quality, horrendous ads, horrible everything. Personally asta is only the second free hosting solution I didn't hate, and the first was pretty much a carbon copy of asta (similar post for ad free host type thing) but due to some legal issues and the subsequent lack of funds they went under. Thus asta stands alone in my mind as quality free web hosting.

I havn't tried any of the above webhosts but i think astahost is probably the best because it has no ads and it doesn't seem to have proplems with their servers and stuff. Scince I joined it hasnt been down or anything

I have tried many, and I never landed on something as great as Astahost.com

They not only provide a great Pro Package, but have a truly wonderful credit system!!!!

The best hosting that i have had apart from Astahost, were, Aboho, Aushost. i was using Aboho Free account (no posts required) but it was only 5 mb and 500 mb b/w. Then I bought a domain, so went for aushost instead, which gives free hosting to domain owners. It gives 50mb and 500mb b/w. It's only good if you have a homepage, not a portal.
No host provided enough features to host a portal, except :-) Astahost.

I bet whoever comes to Astahost once, won't leave it... also, the Forum is a great place to socialize.

Before coming to AstaHost I was jumping from free host to free host and it was very annoying. Then I found this place and I don't think I'll ever have to look for another free host again.

I think Astahost is the best.
When I came here, I really hated free web hosts.. But I had no choice, and I thought Astahost would be like all the others..
But I was wrong..

The Hosting:
Astahost have no ads. They offer free MySQL databases, and they have PHP installed.
It's exactly like paid hosting. But you don't pay with real money. You pay by writing in the forums..
The uptimes are really great. They have free FTP, and alot of other functions. They have a nice CPanel, and everything else you wish to have.. 500 MB of webspace is more than enough. Much more.
The only thing that isn't good, is the BW. You can't increase it, and if your site have about 10 000 views / day, 10 GB BW isn't enough. But trust me.. this is a really professional hosting.

The Forums:
OK.. not many people that's active at the same time.. but still.. The people here are nice, and helpfull. I learned alot thanks to them, and I am still learning.
And the moderators and Admins are also nice to others, and not abusing their powers, like some other forums I've seen..

Well.. I don't know what more to write. but my vote goes to Astahost

I'll have to go with Astahost. I've been switching hosts a lot recently because all of them have some defect that makes it harder for me to work on my site. Most of them have annoying ads that you can't move around. I also think that posting on the forum to earn credits is a great idea because most of the time people sign up for sites but then forget about them because they aren't serious about them.

I have pretty much been with all those hosts before I got to Asta. Freewebs is not the great. I do not like it because it does not give you a selection of styles. My second favorite would have to be www.FreeForums.org. I like them because they hae a good staff that look out for you and when you post something on their forums they always reply ASAP. But I would have to say that astahost is my favorite ATM.

Well astahost has been great, so I decided that I would move on to computing host. Well, after going
through, having the payment come through paypal....my account doesn't exist on computinghosts
site...so now I paid for hosting but haven't gotten any.... I am somewhat dissappointed by
this, seeing how astahost provides such great service for free, and yet I pay for computing host
only to get changed for it and get nothing. I'll see, maybe it just takes them some time for

What's your favourite forum software, and where do you prefer to host it? My fave is IPB, but it

3) When you are using "iframe" the frame used has a ad inside and messes up
