What Would It Be Without The Internet!

rockershive
Say if there hadn't been a telephone, there wouldn't be an Internet today.
if there is no Internet today, then obviously life wouldn't be that simpler. But there should be an 'exclusive Internet' and that would be the mighty military of the US. Right? Because historically the Internet, as we call it today, was an exclusive technology used by the military more than 30 years ago.

If Internet is deprived from the public today, then porno would still be in the streets today..hehehe
One last thing, if Internet doesn't exist today then Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, etc. are billions poorer today, and no spams, no hackers!

What an awesome thought, no internet!!!

What I like about the internet:
  • e-mail
  • chat programs
  • video conferencing over long distance
  • forums and general information sharing
  • e-commerce opportunities
  • online gaming
  • media and entertainment
  • massive online communities

What I don't like about the internet:
  • Porn
  • Spam
  • Viruses
  • Malicious Hackers
  • Did I mention porn?

I think overall, I could not conceive living without the internet. I have just been through a long distance relationship (and we're still together), but perhaps the only thing that kept it going for the last two years was the ability to use video conferencing. My brother now lives in the UK, and I can now still talk to him as easily as if he was in Australia. For all the negatives that I incur in my day to day routine, I can handle those for the numerous benefits that it delivers to me personally.

Off the topic, my father once met this guy. He didn't know who he was at the time, but you don't meet people like this everyday of the week.

He basically had a hand in creating the world wide web. This is someone who (for better or worse) has had an amount of influence on a society that probably no one in history has ever had.

Definetely the world would not be the same without the internet. Nowadays things are faster then it used to be, but this facilities may have a bad side either. With internet we can do more things at the same time and we accumulate more tasks, but people are getting more distant. If you have a friend or a relative who lives realy far, it is a good tool, but sometimes we have friends who live near and we jus talk to them by internet.. and it is not so goog.
well, so we can denay the intrnet is irreplaceable.. we just have to use it the rigth way!

thery good point but i think that the internet is irreplaceable it`s like smoke you become adicted to him it doesn`t mater that you are far from home or near .look , you meat a girl and you whant to tell her some staff i belive that with the internet (messanger...)you tell her more easy what u think about her even if the girls is nice pretty , beautifull or ugly ...but face to face is more hard to tell her "hey lady you are the ugly girl i have seen " if know what i meen.

The thing that is so important about the internet for me is the fact that I cant do without it due to school.I need the internet for school so much that it is impossible to do even if you take the school connection into account. You really need a internet connection from home. All the information you're required to collect etc. Also the interaction with teachers outside of class is mainly though e-mail and thus you really need the internet.

An other thing is that I'm by now addicted to the internet if you can say it that way. Most of my social contact is though the web etc. which is actually quite shocking to be honest.

Also due to a lot of distance between me and a lot of people I know I'd lose contact with them that would be a very sad thing to happen.

Humans have adopted the Internet so much that instead of calling long distance over the phone, they use the Internet. For example, I call using Skype. It also saves a lot of money. Another example is that we rely on the Internet to send mail. Instead of using postage and stamps, we use email to send mail FOR FREE and very fast too!

We collect so much information off the Internet that we it has become PART of life. Like us here at Astahost, we are required to post to keep our little part of the Internet active.

The Internet is not a product, but part of the electronic age life.

Being old enough to not have grown up internet dependent the idea of people being unable to cope with out is actually a bit scary. Working with youth we go on trips for anywhere from 3 to 12 days. The kids are disallowed cell phones iPods and the like. Amazingly no one has died as a result. smile.gif

While the internet is certainly a great tool for the distribution of information i really do not think of it as in disposable.
