I voted for php, I've never tried asp or any of the others. But php can do almost anything dynamic I want it to do.

I have to agree. PHP used in conjunction with MySQL can make a very powerful team together. Transactions can also be made with PHP and MySQL. There's so much you can do.

i've used asp technology, php and perl before and enjoy using php and perl the most. there's no "best" though, sorry, as they're used for different things.

we all love php, lol

for me, perl is too hard, asp is too expensive. . .

and php, jsut fine, easy to learn and easy to use.

PHP is an excellent programming language with countless uses online. I'd have to say that PHP is the most useful programming language when it comes to web programming.

One day, PHP will probably rule the web and replace HTML, its so powerful for free! Wish i had the time to learn it.

Umm... PHP and HTML are totally different things. PHP a programming language HTML a markup language. In web PHP cannot replace HTML or any other mark up language for that matter, they're not wrestling in the same league. PHP outputs HTML.

Currently, I like HTML-but PHP is probably the most powerful languge
HTML and JavaScript makes a good site. There are lots of scripts for JavaScript anyway.

In fact, we use html code in almost all of php-based web application. The role of php is undeniable but it must exist side by side with his html buddy

I vote for perl. For me, perl was easier to learn than php for some odd reason.

HEre are my reasons for likeing perl.

1. Knowing perl is a lot more impressive ;-).
2. Perl has a camel.
3. It makes sense to me.
