DRMremoval

QUOTE Why staying silent with Apple's silly DRM license protection when got computer crash or wanted to transfer iTunes library to news computer? Copy music & video back from any iPod to new iTunes or computer easily now! NOTE: This step-by-step tutorial is taking Windows-based computer for example, but the method works the same for Mac users. Do it at your own risk, never disconnect your iPod when transferring or synchronizing! Step 1. Plug your iPod into computerConnect the USB cord from your iPod to your computer. Minimize iTunes if it starts. Step 2. Get your iPod music to computer.Click Start > My Computer > Your iPod, then in the explorer menu click Tools > Folder Options then click the “View” tab. Make sure 'Show hidden files and folders' is selected. Click OK. Find the iPod Music folder, it’s in iPod_Control. Drag and drop the Music folder to your desktop. Wait for it to transfer. One thing forgot to mention --- if you’re backing DRM-protected AAC(.m4p) music with license you’re not authorized, you can use this Protected Music Converter to strip the DRM first. Once copying done, right click the folder and make sure 'Hidden' is unchecked. The music is now on your PC! Step 3. Transfer iPod music into iTunes. Now, there are two paths. Make sure iTunes is started. If your iTunes is set to automatically copy and sort music (recommended): 1. Drop and drag the Music folder from your desktop into iTunes and wait for it to copy. 2. Delete the Music folder off the desktop. It's no longer needed. If your iTunes is set so that the user copies and sorts music: 1. Move the Music folder into your preferred directory. 2. Drag and drop the new music into your iTunes. Step 4. Back iPod music into iTunes with ID3 Tags.Need to know what song is what? You can setup Windows Explorer to display the mp3's tags. Here's how: 1. In the explorer window go to View > Details 2. Then go to View > Display Details 3. Choose what you want to be displayed (Like Title or Artist) 4. Click Ok If you click on any of the columns at the top it will organize your music by the detail you clicked alphabetically. More info to sync iPod music video to iTunes- It will not work for DRM-protected music videos unless you have the authorized account. (There is DRM Media Converter that can remove DRM protection and convert them back into MP3 or MP4 I believe you still need the log-in account though.) - By using this method you can copy the music video movie from any iPods that are from any iTunes, they don't have to be yours. Grab a copy of your friends music! - This should work on all iPod models (iPod touch, iPod Classics, iPod Nano or Shuffle), whatever iPod you have. Part 2. One-stand way to transfer iPod music video back to new computer or iTunes with iPod transferThere are also one-stand iPod backup & recovery software, the picked iPod transfer here makes it easy to copy back songs, videos and DVD movies from iPod to computer when your iTunes library got lost by whatever reason. With it you also can backup your iPod videos and music to computer when you need to send your iPod for repair or get computer crashed. If you're Mac-based user, this free iPod Sync for Mac dose great job. Enjoy your beautiful digital life!

This works-to an extent. The newer iPods don't even show the iPod_Control with the files un-hidden. If this is the case you will have to use software to get the music off the iPod. If you bought music from the iTunes store on an iPod Touch or iPhone, you can transfer that to the computer right in iTunes.

I bet if you put your iPod to your computer you can see the files.

No you can't. I've tried it. My iPod Touch just shows up as a digital camera, and all it shows is a bunch of pictures.

Isn't there another way to play the .m4p or .m4v media files and have another program convert it to mp3, ogg, or wma? I have not had the time to look into this, but I'm sure there are media utilities softwares out there the do the conversion (quality up, quality down, or formats) for the many types of media players on the market. When MP3's 1st started coming out ten years ago, there was a lot of trial-an-error and not consistences among the various software media players companies implementations. Then there was alway convert to .wav and import back as an .mp3/.wma and manual add the ID information. I'm old skool

However, you must first obtain the file, and most of ipod's or iphones prevent you from getting the file, unless you have a piracy technique for obtaining the file. And this piracy technique is probably the subject of the present topic.

New Computer
What do you recommend? (54) Ok well we are considering purchasing a new computer. We've looked at a few different options,
mainly Dell. Some of the features are already decided, like this: Windows Vista Home Premium 2GB
RAM At least 320 GB hard drive 22" wide-screen monitor The graphics card and sound card
aren't really such a big deal, we do not use this PC for gaming/video-editing anyways. The PC
will primarily used for Office applications, web development, general Internet/email use, watching
DVDs and learning about Windows Vista (I can't wait to use User Account Control!). The....

Ipod Hardware And Software Question
(12) I had a problem with my 40GB 4th Generation iPod. It was giving me the sad iPod icon. I tried
restoring it to factory default but it wasn't even detected. So I opened up the iPod and tried
reseating all the cables. I wasn't paying attention and forced the hard drive cable in (I know,
stupid thing to do especially for me). I'm usually more careful, but now the extra "pin" (maybe
a ground) at the end is broken and stuck into the wrong side of the hard drive. I put it in the
correct way now minus that "ground" pin at the end (which is still stuck on the other si....
Dell Computer "shuts Down" When Opening Email

Computer Suddenly Turning Off
Well it seems my computer doesn't like me. Sad huh? (28) My computer has been acting in a weird way for some time, and I don't remember doing anything
that could cause this hardware-wise. I'll try to describe it: After some time powered on, the

on. Then, I remove the power cable from it's back, wait for some hour(s) and turn it on ok,
until it turns off again. I'd risk also to say that the 'uptime' I get after a shutdown
is somehow proportional to the time I left the power cable off it. Some would say it&....
