Fedora Core 5 Test 2 Was Released
(0) Fedora Core 5 Test 2 is released and now available for download. It is available for the i386,
x86_64, and PPC/PPC64 architectures. Mono and Beagle will be included in the standard packages.
Fedora will alos including the OpenVZ virtualization. (but it was not clear from the article if it
would end up in the FC5 release, or in the betas for FC6) Test3 is scheduled for release February

Blu-ray
released in November (14) Remmeber the topic "Meet the new generation of DVD" ? thats right , a Taiwanese firm AOpen has plans
to introduce its first line of internal and external PC-based Blu-ray optical drives to the Middle
East by the end of November. Compared to present dual-layer DVD writers, which can write up to
8.4GB of data to compatible media, Blu-ray drives should be able to write up to 50GB of data.
However, like all things new in the world of PCs, the prices of such drives are expected to be high

(5) Outpost firewall just was just released its new 3.0 version. This version includes an Anti-Spyware
plugin plus an ARP (Ethernet) filtering tab for the Attack Detection plugin. I love the new ID
Block feature. it prevents my personal data leaks. outpost is my favourite firewall. Configurable,

Did I forget to say it's freeware now ?? (14) One of the main contenders to the title of "Fastest Browser in the world" Opera v 8.5 has been
released. What makes this release so very joyous and eventful is that the Opera browser is now
freeware ! That's right ! For all those of you who missed out on the registration code
give-away a few weeks ago, rejoice... the full version is freeware and AD-free ! Before Firefox
came along, Opera was my browser of choice but I had to contend with the AD banner which made me

Palmone Lifedrive Will Be Out Released On 18 May
(1) PalmOne will release its first hard-drive-based product LifeDrive Mobile Manager on May 18. This is
a good news. I use palm since palm Vx was released. The new LifeDrive has 4GB Hitachi Microdrive
and two flavors of wireless networking--Bluetooth and 802.11b Wi-Fi. CPU is 416MHz Intel XScale
PXA270 processor and come with a 320-by-480-pixel color screen. But it will not use
PalmSource's latest operating system, Cobalt (OS 6). Instead, it will feature Garnet. Files can
be transferred from a PC to a LifeDrive via a USB connection, just like what palmTT5 do The pric....
