But I understand the necessity of having it.<br /><br />But you may also give other ways of earning hosting credits, other than the present ones - relevant posting and paying. That may involve some direct tie-ups with buisnesses in terms of marketing (there are dangers in this, and should be very careful). Actually, The user was trying to overcome a small bug in the application form script thyat I haven't fixed yet.

The newest version of the script checks to see whether or not the user has enough hosting credits for the selected hosting package. This uses the staff credit system interface to check the count which is where the problem occurs. The interface is a little different than the regular credit display on the main page and from time to time it is offline. If the credit display script is offline, the application script cannot find the file and the error occurs.

The next release of the application script will take into account that the other script may be offline or unreachable from time to time.

Currently, it just ends the entire script and displays the error mesage.

So the user tried to copy the code (HTML) from another user's application and insert his information instead. The forum will not parse HTML so the attempt didn't work. If he had tried to quote reply to the other users application and copied the quoted BBC instead, he would have been sucessful.
