| | I will be out of net access for a while, and I want to put a stop hold on the credits as I don't want to lose them because I can't post. I'm also thinking of taking the site down and making a new one so I guess I have to replace them.
So the big question is how do I do that?
How do I stop my credit usage? Don't care if the sites down as I want to make a new one....
Also is there a way to replace the old site domain name with a new one and start all over???
Another question what happened to all my hosting credits?
I have a lot and when I became a hosted member I lost them all????
Thanks for the future answers I get and I hope I'm here to read them.
If I can't be here to do the process plz put a stop hold on my credits please.....

Well the only way to stop losing your credits is to terminate your account, you can do that at http://www.astahost.com/manage/, just use your forum login details to log in. It costs 15 credits to replace your subdomain unless of course you have a top level domain and in that case just park it or add it on. Two answer both your questions, when you become hosted you lose all but 2 or 4 credits and so you must rebuild them by posting immediately and get about 10-15 credits to get give you some breathing room to upload your website.

Yes, the warning issue is that once I wanted a fresh account and I got a suggestion to terminate it, post on the forum and recreate it again by getting those posts.. it worked, but the problem was that I firstly posted and got ~30 days of credits, only then I terminated the account and I noticed that I had nothing left again and again I needed to post those posts, heh, got the hosting, lost those credits and needed to post again to get at least 10 days of credits, that was a pity really  but somehow I managed to get over it.

Thanks for the information, I have now just terminated the account. Sucks because I didn't want to lose any of that information on the site I made. It's just that at the moment I don't have time to dedicate to it and keep it active. Also the fact that I went on vacation and could not post anything here to keep my credits up. So since I terminated that account, does that mean I will have to get credits again to get hosted again????? Or can I just make a new site???? Will suck if I have to get credits again to get hosted and have to fill out the paper work again. Well hope i don't have to do it again but if i do I guess that's what I have to do. Hopefully the next time I will be able to keep my hosting credits up as well as keep the site active. Regards, JohnNitro

You have to do it, at least when I did that, I needed to post on the forums, write the hosting request again, the good thing I was easily accepted, I think

I canceled it like I was told but why am I still in the negative credits>>???? If its not hosted anymore why am I losing my credits???? I was not negative the last time I looked.............

Hosting Credits are no longer something to worry about. With the new Credit System v3.0, you earn myCENTs with posts with which you purchase hosting (these you worry about if you don't have enough to renew!) - Refer to that thread linked to for details.

Site Won't Work
I get the old parking page I had before I got hosting (11) Hi again. I'm having another problem. Well... If you read my other topic, the site isn't
working with www. Well, now the site won't work at all, subdomains, ftp, everything. I get the
old parking page that came with the domain. I was wondering if it is a problem with the company I
registered the domain with. I know that the name servers take time but its been about 5 days since I
changed them to the astahost ones. Yesterday it was working (except for subdomains) but today...

how do I know (8) Hello , I want to ask about credits , How do I know my credits ? Is there a way to ask for more
space .. , I mean if I need more space should I ask directly or you do not allow that ? Also I want

Hosting Termination Error
(0) bakr_2k5 terminated his hosting account but still shows as HOSTED. I think he did this during the
recent RED period. I tried to do a termination token for his account as well but still no luck.
Can you ensure that his hosting is terminated and fix his member group. vujsa....
General Hosting Question.
(5) Currently I have my main personal site on hosting (chessoscorner.com), but I also have a slight
variation of it for my brothers little Gunz clan (chessoscorner.com/shadow_wolves). Is this
allright to do? and if so would it be ok to add another small site for my fiance? From what I know,
I have never come close to exceeding bandwidth (maybe not even half?), plus the upgrade and I think
I'm only still using around 15-25mb of space. So I figure it shouldn't cause problems?
Everything I use is custom and done as best as I can, no lumbering forum software or CMS....

I Cannot Recieve E-mail On My Hosting Account
(11) To describe my problem, I need to give an example. Let's say my hosting account here has the
subdomain www.lestan.astahost.com , with the username khayman . So now my default e-mail account
for this hosting account is khayman@lestan.astahost.com, which is exactly what I see when I log into
Horde. But whenever I try to send myself an e-mail from another free e-mail provider, I don't
recieve anything. I try several times with the same result. I even tried e-mailing myself from

Is Hosting Days Calculation Correct?
I seem to notice something.. (5) Hi. My application for a free web hosting account in Astahost.com has just been recently approved.

the account set-up process, I notice that the days left is 3. That is correct. Then I started making
new posts. After my last post, I remembered that my days left was 13.++. A few hours later, I logged

Moved To Computinghost
But am still being charged hosting credits (9) I've recently moved to paid hosting on ComputingHost, transferring my hosting from Astahost.
Even though I'm now on a different server, and paying for my hosting, I'm still loosing a
hosting credit a day. It's no big deal, because my hosting isn't being suspended or anything
(I've been in the negatives for quite a while now), but surely I shouldn't get charged
hosting credits now that I'm not being hosted by Asta any more, should I?....
Credits Script Not Working?
(3) When I posted something in the Review Section and I hitted the submit button something went wrong
with the server/my computer and I got a 404 error. When I returned to the topic I was posting I did
saw my reply, but when I viewed the topics list it wasn't in there as a recently replied topic.

threads, post a few replies, etc. Then I noticed that my hosting credits have be changed to the
amount of days that my site will be hosted for (2.98) and that the 70-something hosting credits that
I had earned since applying (and getting aproved) for hosting have seemed to vanish? Now, I realize
that a conversion to the amount of days I'll be hosted for would have happened...but I mean, 70
