Im currently using Softimage XSI 5.0 after migrating from many other 3D programs such as Litewave, and 3d studio max. I have found that XSI 5.0 to be a very efficient program in terms of modeling 3D characters. The GUI tools are a whole lot easier to use than the ones Ive experianced with 3dmax and litewave, also the hot keys they provide in the program almost makes it seems like Im playing with clay when modeling...  Im here to recommend this program to any of you that are interested in 3D modeling, that you should look into this program because it offers a lot of features and easy to use. One of the reasons I respect this program so much is some of the finest models are created from this program such as SHREK, AI, and even Terminator 3. Pixar uses this program to create models so I believe this program to be a very good starting point if you want to become a good modeler and eventually go into the 3D animation industry. Good Program To Use

Free Modeling Software Softimage Xsi 4.2 Mod Tool
(2) Modeling software for free is hard to come by, it literally doesn't exist I don't think
except for some really poor version's such as Milkshape but even that has some restrictions. If
you want proffesional modeling software lets' face it yours going to have to spend atleast $500
or more on a decent package. Now if you want some restriction's but don't really care about
exporting importing, you just want to model and get experience. Plus atleast have some models to

I'm also interested in what languages/software you used to make them. The most recent game
I've made is Cannon Wars. It is a 3-D artillery game, similar to Scorched 3D . You control
the angle and power of your gun and try to blow the other players up. After a lot of work I was
able to add network support so you can play with people over a LAN. It also has a primitive Ai so
that you can play against computer players. I wrote it in C++ and used Directx for the graph....
