Now, that's amazing... I've never seen anything like it. Imagine... a whole webserver in a matchbox? I guess with time, they'll even make it more versatile by giving it a USB port and being able to upload and download files... hehe
Great ! Really promissing.
Did you read the paper in the link ? They even give a live demonstration of their webserver ! Unfortunately, the link http://128.119.241.131:4176/index0.html in their demo server does not work, but it could have been very funny. Yordan
I bet it's going to be really slow.
I might just be a collector's item, since people who run servers would mostly care about the quality and the price.
Ok, might be cool, but I prefer to have a BIG Server: The one and only IBM Netfinity 5500. Can't be stolen too easy, gives more warmth than an oven and can be used as a safe chair for over-weighted people. Don't need no matchbox
QUOTE IBM Netfinity 5500 Jeez... what is that thing? Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie
I really call one of these my own and I love it! You can get them cheap at ebay, but postage fees will be high of course. When the 5500er came out, it cost more than 8.000 $, it has Dual P III, RAID and hotplug SCSI disks. But before you get one at ebay talk to your girlfriend!

Or what was the domain name? 5500.com ? Latest EntriesQUOTE P.S. - I don't have a girlfriend, so I may purchase whatever I feel like. :-P You need some greens to purchase something my friend
hmm, I found something but can't really find any info about that mp3 player on google... Anyway, seems cool to me. A mp3 player like that. It must be very hard to operate it when it's so small, huh? I mean, that thing must have microscopic buttons...
That's pretty amazing. I guess as technology continues to progess, things will continue to get smaller and smaller. Which means I will lose all of the things that I buy in the future. :-P
That kind of reminds me of the world's smallest mp3 player. I think it's called mobilBLU but I'm not completely sure. It can sit on the tip of your index finger. It can hold around 100 songs, like an ipod shuffle, and runs around the same price. P.S. - I don't have a girlfriend, so I may purchase whatever I feel like. :-P
Hi Final, your site is looking real good! Congratulations! I don't have a credit card either, otherwise I would buy domains in South America. I have heard that there are companies selling .com-domains for 1 US-$ a year. I don't know whether this is true, and sorry ... I know the original title of this thread is "the SMALLEST webserver" and not "the cheapest domain".
