OK I don't know if this is the right place for this so could the mods move it the the correct place? Thanks. Whenever I try to access my website or log onto the control pannel I get the following error message: QUOTE

It says contact support team (I assume thats you). Is anyone else having this error or is it my computer? I have checked all my connections but I just got a new firewall (Zone Alarm Pro) which may block it. I looked it doesn't appear to be blocking any astahost sites. I also just recently cleared my cookies, could this mess it up also? Does anyone have a suggestion? Please help, I really like astahost and I don't want to start getting mad about it because of some stupid error. Thank you very much, Sparkx EDIT: Again? I just updated my sql database it it appears to not work again? I did a simple task of combining two sql databases into one and now everywere on my site (even the parts that don't use the php my admin) is messed up. I keep getting the error message above as a result? Any other suggestions? Thanks again

I just access my website and my control panel without any problem, maybe is your firewall but i dont think so or some kind of problem with your connection at the time you try to access your site, can you access other sites???? Some easy way to check if your site is running is by simply ping it, and cookies dont matter with this situation. Best regards,

Control Panel is working on port TCP 2083, so your firewall may block it. (Normal web pages work on port TCP 80). Anyway if you are trying to access from an university or an office, there can be a proxy that blocks it, so you won't be able to access anyway.

mate.. where are you located? asian hubs are totally messed up now if either your ISP or one of your connection pass thru taiwan internet hub. i also have some of this problem. but i made some work around by using proxies. on my connection. some ftp access goes to the taiwan hub and all port 80 access goes into a different internet route. the taiwan problem made my ftp connections a hell. though redirecting my ftp connection to use proxies from some trusted sources, i manage to solve it. ***** in case you are out of the taiwan problem. boot up your computer.. wait till everything loads up. then shutdown zone alarm after it completed loading. in case that you can load and connect to your account then it is the zone alarm that blocks the connection.

Thanks, I think it was my firewall it appears to be back up and working. That or it was a power out that I had a few days ago. I went threw my firewall and allowed all content by astahost. Maby my firewall is to good for personal use (I do have realitivly safe browing habits lol). Thanks again for the help

Can't Access Any Site Hosted On The Server
(4) Ever since yesterday, I wasn't able to access my site http://maxotek.net , so I tried
others' sites like http://www.handyphp.com , none of which opened. I've tried PINGing the
sites and have received no response as yet. I've heard that there were some changes to the IP
addresses for the shared IPs. Just a while ago, I heard from a friend of mine that he was able to
access the sites. Another one reported of a Gateway Timeout error. Do I need to make some changes
in the CPanel or will this be solved automatically?....
Server Overloads
(11) Alright, this is becoming a major problem. For the past few days, the Gamma server has been
overloading a lot. The server has reached a load peak of 14.92 thus disabling services like PHP, CGI
and have even shut down MySQL once. This is as big of a problem as XBOX Live having problems from
the past few days. At the time of writing, Gamma's httpd has crashed. Just as a
suggestion, Astahost needs to update the HTTP server software, Apache 1.3.33 is ancient. The latest
stable version is 2.2.6. xboxrulz....

Strange Error (maybe Directoryindex Glitch?)
(6) So if I browse to my site, www.ethergeek.com it takes me to a download window which proceeds to
download the PHP page from the server. If I type www.ethergeek.com/index.php the page loads as
expected. This happens in other folders too...it almost seems like if the server looks at
DirectoryIndex parameter it doesn't pass the page through the php preprocessor... Any ideas?....
Problems With cPanel
Showing some error message (9) Hi all, I was trying to upload some files to my account using cpanel! There was no problem in the

The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operation has been

Mysql Connect Error, Too Many Connections.
(1) Just to begin with I want to say that I am not here necessarily to complain about it lol. I'm
not sure but if my site is possibly helping to contribute to the problem, I'd like to know if
anyone knows any good articles or tutorials that might have information on what to look out for that
could contribute to these sort of problems. I know my site may not have anything to do with it (as
I don't think it is overly popular or anything or even close), but knowing what to look out for
when messing with PHP/mySQL would be great. I personally haven't found too....

Can't access certain forum topics (1) Hi. I have been experiencing difficulty accessing certain forum topics. This started quite some time
back, but I always thought that the forum topics have been completely deleted, thus I'm not able
to access it. Now, however, I just saw a forum topic that I could not access previously being in the
last post column. I tried again but still I could not access it. The forum topic in this case is

Server Timeout error! (7) My Astahost Website seems to be unavailable currently. The Time is : 4:15 PM IST (GMT+5:30hrs)
The browser gives a "Server Timeout Error". Is this a temporary server downtime, or do I have to

Problems With PHP/Joomla On Hosted Site
PHP sevred pages are blank in Firefox, network error in Safari (9) I am having some odd problems with my hosted site. They started sometime yesterday. I have not made
any changes for about two weeks. In Firefox, the index page (index.php) for Joomla comes up blank.
I can access my Control Panel and can check that the files are there and look correct. No favorites
icon is displayed either and the page source is empty. In Safari, I get the favorites icon but then
get a network error and a blank page ("Safari can’t open the page “http://mistymanor.astahost.com/”.

Wrong Password/username - Fatal Error In Horde
(5) I keep getting a fatal error when trying to check my webmail using Horde, through the CPanel. Also,
when I try to open PhpMyAdmin I get an error saying "Wrong username/password. Access denied."
However, I'm logged into CPanel fine, and after getting this error I changed my password. That

since server shift (1) Hello, I use multibyte functions to split a string by letter and I was wondering if you could turn
them on again, because they were on before the server shift (and they are in PHP by default) and now
