| | I have noticed that both Google and Yahoo! are allowing users to save their searches. I was wondering what was everyone's opinion on the matter? Do you think it's a good thing or bad? Also what possible side effects do you think can occur? |

Sounds nice, but also it could be somewhat incriminating I think that searches are sort of saved anyway. If the page is cached, you should be able to go back to it. If you saved a search and then a site moves for some reason, it might show up there, but not if you perform a fresh search maybe. It's an interesting thought.

Never used this function. Not even sure if it's really usefull in my opinion. However maybe someone needs it, so it's good for them

It could be useful, like if you search for something you want, and later you want to search for it again but can't remember the exact words you used. Or, perhaps if you need to access a previous search you did from a different computer. Of course, the privacy issues are huge, personally I wouldn't trust anyone with everything I've ever searched for, etc (I have no real need for it anyway).

Heh, I actually have only started to use this a week ago with my Google/Gmail Account. I thought it would be handy, but I have not yet made use of this function. It's kinda creepy how Google would know what links I clicked on in my search... Privacy is a pretty big problem. When I search for bad stuff on Google, I usually would log out first if I remember.

In google too bar, they save what you search too. But you can always delete it. And you can alway delete the google cookies file.

Css Vs. Tables - A Reflection...
Will CSS foil Table's plot and save Gotham? (14) I'm in the process of trying to learn how to design with Cascading Style Sheets because, the way
I see it, they are portrayed as the next generation of web design and the end of Table layouts.
It's been years since I had a web site, and what I had back then wasn't exactly eye-popping
in regard to appearance (or content for that matter). I of course used tables to do my layout, as
that was just how it was done back then (and still is today, often times, which I'll cover
later), but even then -- and even to a novice like me -- it just didn't seem righ....
Stop Smoking, Save Thousands!

learn and has the perfect approach to teaching it to you. Have you ever had that expirience? It is
simply awesome. Anyways, lets get down to buisness. As an assignment in this class I took, we were
supposed to calculate how much money a person who smokes 1 pack of cigaretts a day would save if
they quit smoking and invested their money into a fund with a 9% intrest rate. First thing we had to
do was calculate how much a pack of smokes would cost on average, and where I liv....
Firefox 2 Problem: Save Link
firefox 1.5 would save link on alt + click. Feature removed? (9) In previous versions of Firefox there was a feature that I used very often. When a link was clicked
while holding the alt key, it would automatically download the linked file to my hard disk. It
seems that this hasn't worked since installing the the newest release. Is this feature still
available, maybe with a different key command? Maybe one of my extensions is causing a bug. Does it
work for anyone else? If not does anyone know of an extension/about:config edit/hack that could
restore this functionality? I always found it to be very intuitive and helpful. Ct....

Full Text Searches In MySQL
(4) Before I begin, you must remember that the columns that you will be searching in must be a fulltext

How Do I Activate Shell Access
Need to activate to save dial up bandwidth (4) I would like to activate the shell support on my site. When I try SSH/SCP, I get "Shell Access is

Problems With Mac Os X And Mambo
Tiger/Mambo won't save posts/may lock up (0) My first experience with Mambo was incredibly frustrating, but I may at least know why. There are
problems with Mambo and several Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) browsers. Specifically, I ran into it with
Safari 2.x not activating the Save button when submitting content. After completing your post, the
Save button does not work and you end up hitting Cancel and throwing the post away. Under Firefox
1.0.7, the Save button works for me and content is updated, but the browser will often freeze and
have to be closed. It looks like other people are having this issue with varying symp....

Creating A Roll-over Effect With Text
Save time and bandwidth-simple scripting (11) This short, but consise tutorial presents how to create a dynamic navigation bar using simple
scripting verses using an image roll-over script. Using text instead of images offers 3 benefits
while sacrificing only a little in design. The end resault is a navigation bar that looks great,
dosen't bog the server down with images, loads fast, and is search engine friendly. In addition,
you save time by not having to design two images for every link required. Using simple combination
