My Astahost account was suspended for quite some time ago due to technical reasons and OpaQue has decided not to unsuspend my account. Before I let the admin terminate my account permanently, I would like to request the return of the data files and mysql databases of my account.

I would appreciate it if admin could send backups of the following folders:

public_html/images 3.56 Meg
public_html/image 1.77 Meg

as well as backups of my mySQL databases, which I believe are:

jcguy_movabletype
jcguy_newsletter

I'm sitting for my exams real soon and won't be able to come online and I'm anxious to get back my files before my hosting credits reach -30 and the files are deleted. I hope that admin can access my account and return the folders and databases mentioned above via HTTP or FTP download.

Excuse me, what does "suspended for technical reasons" mean? Weren't you active enough or are there others reasons I should know of?

Maybe Ruben, that's something you really don't need to know.....maybe you may...i don't know, but I think it's a lillte stupid question to ask and this is a little of a spam post, but of course that could be my fault.....

Well, if you really want to know, my account was automatically suspended because apparently a CGI script running from my account was overloading the server's resources and was causing a risk of the server crash. So, to protect the server's other accounts, I presume it was automatically shut down.

This had happened once before and Astahost was kind enough to unsuspend my account the first time it happened. The thing is, I'm not sure what I did to cause an overloading. The only CGI script I used on my account was MovableType (http://www.sixapart.com/movabletype/) from SixApart which I use to run a weblog. As you may know, MT is pretty advanced and it's not like those unstable CGI scripts which can crash the server. I treasure my Astahost account highly and I won't do anything stupid to risk a suspension. I really don't what happened to cause the overloading incident.

I'll be moving my data over to other places and that's why I need all the backups and the files on my account. I understand that OpaQue may be busy with the migration of Astahost to new servers, but my request has still not been met. I hope that I can get my stuff back and then my account can be terminated so as to free up resources for new members.

Thanks, nice to know. I was just wondering what technical reasons means, because I didn't consider misusage of resources "technical" (yes i knew of that reason).
