idk...are you using an ftp program ?
Everyone's site is down, including mine. My website has been down for nine hours+. Hopefully, everything will be back online soon.
Did this ever work? Is you username and password correct? What clinet are you using? What OS (can you access the low level FTP client in Win*** and use that to test the client?
Any more info ? We can not really help with what you have given us. I am still having problems using FTP. It was working before 04-18-2005 but then stopped. I keep getting an error: the connection attempt timed out. I tried using an FTP program LeechFTP, also I tried using IE and typing in the FTP address, I also tried using an online FTP site http://www.unlimitedftp.ca/myftp but no matter what I do I keep getting the same error. My OS is Windows XP I also tried using my Mac OS X with fetch but again same problem occurs.
I know that my user name and password is correct I even tried changing the password and even tried creating a new FTP account but again the same problem occurs...
rhodesian, I'm having a similar problem. See if you can use the comand prompt ftp commadn to get in.

I have the same problem, text based ftp like command prompt or the linux variant work fine, but graphical ones don't. Very puzzling and annoying. Maybe I'll have to make an http ftp so people won't have to worry about this problem.

Continue reading. Features: Strong encryption can be applied to the site manager to protect your information. Roll back on resumed file transfer to prevent corruption. Fully recursive file transferring (uploading, downloading, site to site). Transfer files of all sizes, no 2gb/4gb size limit like some ftp clients. Internal Schedule (Transfer or Stop a queue at a specific time). Calculate the size of all files in a specified path. Enhanced drag-and-drop functionality. Folder Bookmarks to provide one click access to any folder. Grouped SITE custom commands. Anti-idle keeps connection active. Minimizes to system tray. Optional displaying of Owner/Groups/Attributes. Site Stats, keeps track of your uploads/downloads and overall totals. Now these are only some of the features but they are the features i believe make FlashFXP better than the rest!
Try using a different ftp client or the command prompt
I have the same problem. I got hosted sinsce a few days and yesterday tried to acces ftp. It worked, but when i uploaded files, after a while it said the same as mentioned before. I use windows xp proffesional sp2 and i used smartFTP and FTP with IE. It didn't worked. And shuting down the firewall, dind't helped either. Are this server problems or is this my computer. (since this problem is not only mine i think it are server problems).
I think that I have found a solution to this problem. I do not know if this will work for everyone but it worked for me... I was playing around with different settings in windows and one thing I did was disabled the firewall. After I disabled the firewall the FTP worked fine... I was able to upload and download files from the server using FTP. The problem was gone. So I guess that every time I want to use my FTP account I will then have to disable my firewall. I think that this solution is a little odd?
