Not A Hosting Request... - It's a COMPLIMENT :)

Hi everybody,
This post might go against the rules of this forum - coz I figure this is a hosting request only forum - but what more an appropriate place than this to compliment the folks@astahost. I got my hosting started package today along with the login to cPanel. Maaaan !!... That's all I can say - the rest (my present state) is depicted in this picture

Good WORK folks.. No GREAT Work !! Nothing can beat the mindboggling list of features..

P.S. Admins kindly move this post to some suitable forum if it's not meant 2 be here...

help us spread the name and this service and attract more members who have the ability to Rock the forums with their splendid ideas and thoughts. Just read a post posted by avalon.

I agree with you. I enjoy the community here and I appreciate the hosting and all the quality tools that we have in cpanel. I was so impressed with the opportunity here and the community we have that I "asked" to be a mod. I was not invited I invited myself

The quality of posts are increasing on a daily basis and it looks like the forum are attracting professionals and people with a lot of knowledge to share. You are one of the people with quality posts that I enjoy to read. As a lot of the other posters here have good quality posts (to many to mention, just so I don't miss anyone).

The spam is way down and it makes for good reading.

Thank you Astahost for providing a quality place to exchange ideas and concerns.

Hi,
I came back to add some more. When I first visited astahost - like other, I was just searching for just "another free host". I admit, I was pretty quick to fill up my quota of 10 messages to get my starter package rolling as I needed a host desperately. But after spending a couple of days browsing the forums and tyring to respond to the posts - I've found myself getting drawn more and more into it. What makes it even more fun & worthwhile is the immense appreciation shown by the community and the social banter that everyone indulges in. Definitely pumps you up with a warm glow

Once again, the features provided by astahost are by far unmatched. Keep up the great work.

You guys and gals out there are amazing. This is such a great system. Bravo on the great site and thanks for the domain. It makes me feel all fuzzy to know that there are cool people like you out there helping people like us get up and running. Notonly is the domain service great, but you are running an excelent forum here. Its really nice and very comunity oriented. Everyone seems to get along really well!

Thanks for the vote of confidence.. We are trying to improve more and more. We have two sites, Trap17 and Astahost.

While trap17 was our first site, but we were quite un-satisfied with what we really wanted to achieve. The problem was we were not aiming towards community, but our aim was money. Losing Google ads was a big blow. They have been suspending us now and then.. This time, we wanted to make it for something else. With all the experience, we moved ahead to bring this site. Everything was planned, even though things were hard in the begenning, we are finally proud to say that our dream has come true. Like we mentioned on main page, the aim of this site is not to make money, but to build a successful forum. And we are ready to do anything for this. So far as money is concerned, Trap17 is enough for that. Things are diffrent at this site. We can afford to lose 1000 members but cannot afford to lose 1 talented member. This site makes it a challenge. And most of the people at this site are the ones who accepted it. The signed up even after seeing the Warning message on our main forum page. That makes it a diffrence.

Astahost is a place where any developer, designer or computer professional can start building his web career while making his site. We provide the tools and ask you to contribute. The little we recieve from all of you is enough to help most of the young developers. But it is afterall the sincere dedication that the members put which makes this site successful. We feel we have reached our goal, when a member stops thinking about hosting credits when he posts.

For the first time, we have seen members posting for knowledge and not for Hosting Credits. Some members have credits more than 30 days but are active daily. Astahost would never be possible without the sincere contribution and help from its members.

We hope someday, we will be able to help and provide answers to all the people who come to this place. The best of all, its free. Unlike Google Answers, we dont charge people for our replies. We believe, Best things in life are ment to be free. The more you share, the more you get. Besides, you gain knowledge by spreading it. Isin't it ?

First time I logged in today to my hosting account my jaw just dropped at all the features available. I thought it would be good here, but this is so far and beyond anything I've expected or seen in my previous experiences with countless free hosts. Thanks for the awesome service!

No one has yet complimented astahost for the great UPTIME... I think I'm going to do just that. Did you know that in Bengali ( my mother-tongue and one of the east indian languages ) the word "Asta" means "Trust" !! In just a short few days, AstaHost has become my most Trusted Host

All right, I'm running out of words for further compliments

That big post that OpaQue posted was really touching and I think that it should be on the homepage of the site or something. I mean, I would come and post for the sake of it just because of the message! And I'll try to be the first person with 70 credits on trap17 and Asta (trusted) host

I am sad to say that i don't know too many people that are interested in web pages. however if i find oone this is the first place i'll send them. i haven't even gotten my 10 creds yet however i can tell this service is unique and more people should be here to support these forums and pages hosted here

I can agree your site has turned out very well....
this is the best host so far.... I ve been in freewebs.... not to good.....
awardspace... well I uploaded files aand I get the 404 error file not found, no luck there, some are ok but they don't have mySQL databases etc. and iv'e been doing this for let's see

It's been a while since anyone posted in this thread, so I'll take this opportunity to add my own kudos.

I admit that, like many, I joined up because I was looking for a good hosting service. The blurb I read on Astahost looked good and so did the terms, so I signed up immediately and went looking around the forums. Now I was a bit hesitant when I learned that you had to maintain your hosting credits by posting regularly since I'm more of a lurker, and I thought I wouldn't be able to keep my credits up. Well, surprise surprise! I hadn't reckoned on just how interesting the forums were.

As of this writing, I have only 22 posts to my name (remember, I'm a bit of a lurker), and even with only so few posts I already have enough credits to last me almost a month. Normally, in other forums, I could go for weeks without posting a single thing. Here at Astahost, it's much easier to find something that interests me, so now I have no problems finding something to write about. Post counts never used to matter to me, and it still doesn't. While I do keep track of my hosting credits (who doesn't? =P), it's not something I have to worry about because I know that there's no end of topics to keep me interested in posting.

And now we come to the reason I signed up in the first place: the web hosting. So far, my experience with this side of Astahost has been wonderful. I never expected to have my hosting request approved so quickly (truth to tell, having read some of applications by other members, I expected it to take a bit longer). Now that I'm hosted and have tried out some features... well, what can I say? And most webhosts are asking people to pay for these features that Astahost is giving away for free! Imagine that. =^^=

Jokes apart, I thought this was going to be another one of those forums with no activity and no interesting topics. But I was proved wrong. I've been on and off this forum for the whole day. I've noticed that people on this forum are VERY friendly. Nobody flames you like

"...blah blah blah, you moron, you didn't take the time out to RTFM (Read The F***ing Manual), blah blah blah".

Every body does their bit to help out. Infact, I've learnt a lot of things already in my short stay here. And coming to the web hosting. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but after getting my account today, all I can say is WOW!!! This is amazing!!! I've never seen so many features even on some of the paid domains that I had a chance to look at.

YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST!!!
