| | Yahoo! had another quarter annual Hack Day with three new ideas for Yahoo! Messenger (http://blog.messenger.yahoo.com/blog/2007/11/01/a-hack-day-full-of-messenger-ideas/). The first is to integrate webcam into the web version of Messenger. Personally I think this is a duh moment as this was one of my first reactions when I used Web Messenger. I guess the hack is more that it happened than an innovative idea. The second is a real time translation of IMs similar to Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/). The last hack is a Yahoo! Answers bot.
I see this list as already being sorted in descending order of likely to occur. My beat is the webcam will be added but it may take about a year or a new version of Web Messenger. The translator is of marginal value so I don’t see it happening. The Answers hack is just fluff so it should never see the light of day. (Of course in Yahoo! tradition, the Answers bot will be implemented next week while the webcam never happens.)

Synchronization Software
Please express some ideas (4) I am working on a project with files at different locations, some duplicates. I want it to be
synchronized to the newest version available (most recent version) at most places, here are where my
files are scattered across: 1. FAT32 partition Read by Linux and Windows, I do most of my file

Ideas For Features For A Colour Picker
(3) I am making a colour picking application in Delphi and am looking for little things I could add or
change to make it better. It's meant to be quite simple for the most part of course, and it
includes 3 sliders for RGB, random colour generation, display of RGB/HEX etc codes, and a feature to

Can't View PHP Files Using XAMMP
Any ideas why? (3) I have downloaded a couple of PHP scripts and have tried to open the with XAMMP in PHP but it
isn't working. The page pops up for a quick second, then disappears. I have no clue what is
going on. I am opening it with the PHP.exe file in XAMMP, is that what I am supposed to be using?
When it comes up for that second, you can see the writing, but like I said, it just disappears. Not

Ideas For Using VB To Program Nokia S60 Phones

Software Copy Protection
looking for ideas (7) I just put a computer info based algorithm in my simulator today. I am finally moving toward making
a version of my relativistic physics of spacefilight simulator available on the net with some
features being registration activated. Looking for a web site is part of it. My first idea was to
somehow get the physical location of the file on hard disk (haven't found a way of doing that
yet either) as a basis for unique registration but then a disk defragmentation would invalidate the
registration so that will not work, unless there is some way of making the file un-mo....
