Try this site out. It seems to be pretty chock full on information and layouts if you aren't adept with HTML or CSS. Personally I've coded everything on my page myself...makes it feel a bit more "mine". Myspace is one of the most addicting things I have ever come across besides the internet. Think of it as an AIM profile on steroids. You can even instant message within Myspace!Oh yeah, check out my page and tell me what you think of the layout. I'm never satisfied...

What is it anyways?

it looks like a bloghost, search engine, webhost....

anyway, as webhost i have the almighty ASTAHOST biggrin.gif

and for the email Gmail fixes it.

If you're skilled enough, you can create your own layout smile.gif

what do you think about mine? (http://jipman.astahost.com , its kinda outdated, i don't have the time atm to work on it)

fully w3c valid html 4.01 strict biggrin.gif

My space is just like u said Jipman, blog host, place for friends to network, meet people and so on. I use it too, thats how i found out about this place. If your looking for decent pre-made pages, check out there forum, myspace stuff, customizing, there are about 100 different examples there of profiles others have used and submitted when they wanted to make a new one. They even put all the code right below it, for the copy and paster's, Good way to see what it's supposed to look like though. For the best overall source for Html is this group- http://groups.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseac...oupID=100241389
You can also check out -mrk's site, he has awesome tutorials on just about everything to do with players, playlists, fonts, text, moving tables, different cursors, and many other good things to help with html. his site is
http://profiles.myspace.com/users/15585039, he also has lots of links there to other tutorials and advanced html groups when u get the hang of the more typical stuff. For learning the flash stuff can go to flashkit.com or actionscript.org . I havent had a chace to check out the flash yet so if ya do let me know how it turns out... My Profile there is http://profiles.myspace.com/users/15479321 if ya wanna check it out, ONly been working on it this past week, still need to add some effects and move tables. My vid's stop workin, asta?, My cpanel wont load either, think server may be down, Goodluck and keep at it, lots of trial and error,

It's something like Friendster isn't it? I don't spend much time on such social networks and viewing other people's profiles and so on, but his myspace.com seems like a great place to interact with your friends and other communities.

My space is pretty cool. I made one yesterday. It's a bit wierd to work with but im getting the hang of it. It is a bit like friendster, but it has some cool twists to it. Anyone have any good tutorials for the layouts. I'm more adept in HTML then CSS.

That is a really good forum on MySpace that shows you examples of MySpace profiles and it walks you through how to set it up.

There is mine. My page is not all that great at the moment, and I tend to go on there when I have nothing else to amuse me. But feel free to add away. Most of the people on my friends list are people from school, and they all bore me. I need variety!

This is a pretty nifty little site with some simple code. There was also a very good forum (not the official Myspace forums - a different place) to help people out with their layouts, but for the life of me I cannot find it. =[

i posted this somewhere else before, but just to spread the word some more, i have two myspaces, one personal and one for my clothing company. i love myspace because you can interact with so many old friends, new friends, and family. I met one of my favorite artists ever through myspace and it was one of the greatest days of my life! on top of that, we still keep in touch... i've also met various bands through there and i'm also getting lots of work through it... so there really is no reason to complain....

although, i have heard that myspace has been known to put viruses on pcs.... has anyone heard this? and does anyone know if this is true?

Man I love Myspace, Its a great way to meet new friends, or meet up and find old friends, Ive met some really cool people off of Myspace, like I met Jason Mayhem Miller off of there, and then got invited to train with him when he came down here for his fight the other week, you can customize your own page pretty easily, Its how I first started learning html smile.gif

I use myspace a lot, though I have two profiles- one for me to meet people on, and one to promote my professional side of life. (If anyone's interested in my personal profile it's [url=http://www.myspace.com/mzwebfreak]www.myspace.com/mzwebfreak.) Anyways, the reason I think it's great is the way it brings people together...I've "run into" people I knew from back home (I moved to Tampa from Maryland, so there's lots of people I miss from up there.) I can also get to meet new girl friends, since I have a hard time making friends in my line of work. Yes, I've come across many annoying profiles and wanting to turn music off, but unable to, plus I also had a problem for a while with people hotlinking to graphics on my servers to their myspace profiles, but admin took care of that problem.
