| | If you want to start a newsletter service for the visitors of your site, you may consider to install Letterman 1.2.3 newsletter component for your Mambo/Joomla site. Although the installation is pretty simple, still a quick note will help you.
Step-by-step installation guide:
1. Download the source file and save those to your hard disc.
2. Install com_lettermansubscribe_1.2.3.tar.gz as a Mambo Component.
3. Then install mod_lettermansubscribe_1.2.3.tar.gz as a Mambo Module.
4. That's all you need to do.
Now you have to publish the Letterman Newsletter module so that the visitors to your website can subscribe/unsubscribe in the newslettter.
In the backend as an administrator you will get to configure your newsletter settings, manage your subscribers and compose, publish and send mails.

Problems With Mac Os X And Mambo
Tiger/Mambo won't save posts/may lock up (0)
My first experience with Mambo was incredibly frustrating, but I may at least know why. There are
problems with Mambo and several Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) browsers. Specifically, I ran into it with
Safari 2.x not activating the Save button when submitting content. After completing your post, the
Save button does not work and you end up hitting Cancel and throwing the post away. Under Firefox
1.0.7, the Save button works for me and content is updated, but the browser will often freeze and
have to be closed. It looks like other people are having this issue with varying symp....
Moving An Existing Mambo Site To A New Server
do not want any down time in the move (0)
Hi all, I have a client (church) who I am making a Mambo site for. THing is that they do not want
any down time in the move from old to new, not even just an hour while I load content. I need to
know if it is possible to create a whole Mambo site on one server, and then transfer it (via ftp) to
another server. -How hard is it to reconnect the database? -If all the installed files are moved,
does it matter that the new server never went through an "install?" -will the configure file open up
on the new server so that I can change the site information? ANy other things ....
Would Back Door Work In Mambo?
your opinion (2)
Hi! I'm extremely new to Mambo, and was just playing around with it to set up a "back door" site
for my main site's writers. I'm thinking that a cms might be a good move for my entire site,
but I'd just like some input from people who know more about the subject. I've read a few
conversion tutorials that I found throughout the net, and I'm still not sure about whether or
not this would really work, and what the best way would even be. Sergio....
Mambo Aka Joomla
One of the best open source softwares (4)
Mambo is in my opinion one of the best open source Content Management Systems. It has a incredible
number of components and modules that makes it very flexible and powerful. All you need to instal
mambo is a hosting that supports php and mysql. After the instalation the whole site can be managed
from the backend for any person without any knowdlegde of html, design or programming. Last month
the developers changed Mambo name to Joomla. You can find more information in their official
website http://www.joomla.org/ If you are thinking to use a CMS for your websit....
