Why do you want a PCI adapter ? Currently the USB adapters are the cheapest ones because mostly sold to old laptop users.

Hi, I have just reinstalled windows 2k on my laptop and have been trying to connect to my wireless
network. I have managed to get the wireless adapter to connect to the computer (it has power and the
computer recognizes it) and the software that comes with the card can see the AP. when i try to
connect to the AP nothing happens. i am not able to connect to anything, no pings, no network, no
internet! the wireless card is a Netgear Wg511v2 and the AP is a D-Link DI-524. Would this be a
problem with the software on the computer? i have managed to connect to this same netw....

I'm not sure how feasible and or expensive this would be, but is it possible to have a
reasonable wireless connection between 2 pc's 1km+? and what would I need if I could. I
haven't used anything Wireless before, atleast not concerning a PC. And I'm not *exactly*
sure on the distance, but I'm guessing around 1km, more or less. I used whereis.com.au to check
and it's 1.81km's, but that's by road, not a straight line.....

knows the in and outs of Alienware, do you know how much they improved on their new realeased
    desktop systems?....
