I don't particularly belive in heaven or hell. Quite frankly the whole idea seems implausible and mediocore.

I voted maybe. On one hand, it could very well exist. We don't know if there's anything beyond our current existence. It always helps to keep an open mind. But on the other hand...heaven and hell could only be a creation by humans long, long ago. There is no way that we can go to these places, see if they exist, and if they do, what they look like, then come back and publish a set of books on them. The ghosts. Okay, I think it might be possible to see them. But I don't think it's really possible to capture them on camera or record them in anyway, so the camera and film thing I say would be fake. Dying and seeing heaven...? Do you mean that they teetered on the edge of dying, saw heaven, but somehow came back to the world of living anyways through some stroke of miracle? I suppose that could be possible, but then again, who knows? They might've been dreaming. Their brains might've been conjuring images of what heaven was like. I don't think there'll ever be a time when people completely agree on this. If we can't see it, we can't believe it, but at the same time, if there's no proof that it doesn't exist, then it could very well exist, couldn't it? (Much like the discussion of the Deathly Hallows in the new HP7, eh? XD) Serena

I voted maybe. We die, what happens then is a later problem, thats what i think. Wy should we waste away our lifes, To think what happens after it? Pretty stupid to do so, Cause when the time has come, You'll see.......... You should think about what you should do when you live, not whats happens when you die! Thats what i think.........................

well, i honestly dont know if i believe or not, i dont think i ever will. For one, there are so many religions, with so many differant stories, its impossible to know, it ties in with questions like "Did Jesus exist?". Then i just think, im enjoying my life, i dont want to think about it.If there isnt an afterlife, there isnt an afterlife, i wont be thinking "oh damn, it doesnt exist" will i? If there is an afterlife, then great. Then i think "Where did this existance come from? what caused the big bang? how is nature so complex? these things make me think that there has to be a higher being, someone controling this. Overall, i realy do not know, for all i know, the universe could be some kid in another dimention's experiment gone to far, its just to much to think about and worry about

I can only say that I believe because : 1. I'm a religious man. 2. I will never have any experience about it before I die. 3. I don't want to debate about it.

hi --- I know there are ghosts, because I saw one. My grandmother haunts the house I was born in. The people that lived in it saw her many times too, including visitors. She died when she was 86 years old, yet the age of the ghost is about 50 - 60. The house has been renovated over the years and a new room was added to the house. When she walks around the house she only goes into the rooms as they were when she was alive. A doorway was closed off, but she still walks thru it as though it is still there. I tried to speak to her, but she didn't acknowledge my presence at all. As far as the heaven/hell thing --- I heard this a while ago --- If there is no hell yet you live a good life you are ok If there is a hell and you live a good life you are ok If there is no hell and you live an evil life you are ok If there is a hell and you live an evil life you are in big trouble. Therefore living a good life you 50 % sure to do OK Then if you live an evil life -- you have a 75% of not being OK Just play the odds -------- where do you want to end up?

my maths and science teacher sed that heaven and hell isnt possible. we live in a 3 dimensional world and heaven and hell are 4 dimensional which means neither could have any effect on another. the same thing with god. then again thats her, she can be pretty crazy actually at sometimes.

Life After Death?
My dear child, there was NO media or TV or anything like that 4000 years ago, and people belived...Without faith, when you DO finally find out for sure, it will be too late. If you are a good and honest person, it is not so hard to live up to His expectations...

I do not believe in anything after death. There is really no proof of anything happening, only people that believe that they have died and then come back to life saying that they saw a "light". THATS ALL, i think its mumbo jumbo when people say there is a heaven/hell, and others( i have nothing against religions/beliefs) but , really we need proof (when i mean proof, facts) if it is really true; really u cant say there is really anything after death, u'll just have to wait until you pass way.......... So ill have to say MAYBE.

wow, nearly half the people voted "YES, I do believe in after-life". I voted no here is the question for all you believers: if you lived in a remote place, without TV, Internet or any other access to the media and no church either, would you still believe in the after life? I mean would you come up with the whole after-life idea by yourself? If not, you are just a follower of the media/hollywood ideas. You might as well then believe that we're all just batteries and slaves to the computers(the matrix). sorry if I offended anyone, but that's just my view on the after life

Even if there is life after death, what difference would that make? Knowing nothing about what would happen after you're dead does not hurt, I think.

What I believe is different than what I think is true. Personally, I believe in God and heaven, etc., because I like to, and because I do. When I think about it in a non-religious context, however, the only thing that makes sense to me is that there is none of that, we just die and that's it. I rarely think about the second option, however, because the first is just much more pleasant to think of.
