| | Hey guys. I recently got myself a Wacom Tablet.
Here is a character painting I did using GIMP.
Related Blog Post: Digital Painting - Lavanya 2
I did most of it (around 80%) using mouse - I had not got the tablet by then. After that, I did the finishing touches with the graphics tablet. |

Wow, very nice, I look forward to seeing what you can do with a tablet. Personally I can only pull off pretty basic art so when people show off things like this done on a computer it blows my mind. "effects" and other things you can learn in tutorials is one thing but at a certain point natural talent takes over. Awesome piece of work man.

Yup - I look forward at what I can do with the tablet too. Yes, indeed. I have to agree when you said, "at a certain point natural talent takes over" - but only to an extent. There is some amount of natural talent into it, but the larger part of the talent can be attained through practice. Practice. And a little more practice. Yeah, I will post that too, once I get back home.

Faq. Knowing How Digital Camera Lenses Work
(4) This are the articles I found in yahoo.com When shopping for a digital camera, people often
overlook the camera lens. Serving as your camera's "eye," the lens determines what your camera
can see - and how well that view is transmitted to the CCD (charge-coupled device) or CMOS
(complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) chip for recording. The following sections explain the
basics of how digital camera lenses work. Focal length Different lenses have different focal
lengths. On a digital camera, focal length measures the distance between the lens and the image
sensor,....
Getting Certain Parts Of A Record
The character data (17) Ok I need help on this puzzling problem. At first I thought that this person stored the dates in the
MySQL database like this: August 27, 2007 That kinda freaked me out a little, because string dates
are hard to manipulate. Then I found out that he stored both th string data and numerical date,
which I found a little bit odd, but it was like this: 2007-08-27 I need to build a PHP program to
manipulate the data, but I need to access the year, month and day respectively by themselves. I
think that isolating the first 4 characters for the year, last 2 characters for da....
Facebook Graffiti
Bare-bones digital Painting (10) Lately I have enjoyed painting with the Flash-based Graffiti application on Facebook. Sometimes I
think it is fun to see what I can do with the restrictions of a simple little paint program. The
only real special feature that the application has is the ability to adjust the opacity of your
paint. Anyway, below are some of the images I have produced with it. If anyone else has used it, I
would love to see what you have made. Also the application has a somewhat new feature
that allows people to play back the drawing line-by-line. I have uploaded a few of the....

Modeling the Character (2) Modeling the Character The first step in the production is to model the cartoon moose character.
The modeling process is divided into several simple tutorials. In the first one, you load the
reference sketches that can be used to line up polygons as you model. Then we'll create the head
and body objects by modifying primitive objects. The final tutorial focuses on the iterative process
of editing the model. The following tutorials show one character modeling technique, but many
others exist. As you explore the various modeling techniques, find and develop methods ....

Digital Lockets!

around for presents for my sig. other and I was searching for something along the lines of a digital

and came up with a digital photo locket. J&R has it for about $32 after shipping. I'm not
too sure about the battery life though, but it seems like an interesting gift idea. The link can

stumbled across this art forum. And....even though I feel very, very weird about posting my art up
here - (makes me feel slightly narcissistic, which I'm not...) - I thought I'd go for it.
I don't generally get a lot of feedback on DeviantArt and view this as an opportunity to get
some constructive criticism. So, the attached picture is my most recent digital drawing and
it's called "I guess I'll catch you later..." The original size is 1280x800 pix....
Feline Animal Model
Non-humanoid character modelling attempt in Blender (15) OK. It has been quite some time since I worked with Blender since the last attempt that must here
here somewhere in these forums. I finished that, and on attempting to do a UV mapping, I found that
I had greatly messed up with edge loops and pole placements. That done, I started another humanoid,
but this thread is not about that. Here, I am trying a non-humanoid character - a feline/catline
animal to be specific. There is not much background information on this particular group and hence,
it is rather free flow design. I have completed the very basic step in the p....
Getting The Most Out Of Canon Digital Rebel XT?
(1) Not too long ago I bought a Canon Digital Rebel XT. It was my first SLR camera and I've been
really pleased with what I've managed to do with it so far. I have the basic 18-55mm lens that
came in the box and a very basic 75-300mm lens that I bought later on. I was wondering what to do I
have to do (hardware wise) to take my photography to the next level? I was wondering about maybe
experimenting with some filters. Heard polarizers were good. Also I was thinking about buying an
inexpesinve ( <$150) Macro lens to get some interesting close up shots. So if anyb....

Film Vs Digital

Resources For Digital Artists

Character Modeling For 3ds Max
