My question is, is AstraHost reliable for uploading forum software such as SMF, Vbulletin and
Invisionpowerboad. According to the requirements i need 10 or 30 credits and the space gets higher.
Which would be better for running a forum? personally i think 30 would be too much but im unsure as

Well, about a year ago I did apply for the 30 credits hosting account, here in AstaHost. I kept my
site up for some months, but after some time the site idea kind of died, I wasn't able to post
regurlarly enough to keep ti up and running. Now, I gathered up with a friend to start a new and
promising project, that's actually up and running here www.sanestesico.co.cc , but on a very
poor and slow free server. I was wondering what do I have to do in order to reactivate my old
account, if possible, or if do I need to send a new application for hosting maybe? How ma....

i was wondering if this were the intended function of the faqs section, or if a username is faqs,
and somehow that section of the forum redirects there... just a question as it appears to be the
default page for new sites when clicked.......

I create my host with my walhez.com (http://whois.domaintools.com/walhez.com) dominion but whatever
creates my account in xisto my dominion was not redirected to dns of Astahost (ns1.Astahost.com and
ns2.Astahost.com), if not that to dns temporary that it had assigned those to him that sold my

Hey, I just received my hosting account, and I went to create it. After I finished creating it, the
link wouldn't work. I tried to figure out why, and then realised I had typed "lc.astrahost.com"
instead of "lc.astahost.com" Due to the extra R i put in, my hosting can't be accessed. Do I
need to pay for a subdomain change? or would an admin be kind enough to fix my error? Thanks for

Hi, First of all I would like to know that is there anyone who installed movable type on astahost
servers before. May I have any problem about installing the movable type? Is fast cgi module
installed on astahost? I asked this question because movable type's new version can run up to 15
times faster with fast cgi. And finally if my site is hosted on astahost with a subdomain ( like

A few days ago, I was approved for the starter package, but as yet have not received an e-mail
regarding that. I have checked all my folders every day (inbox and bulk mail in particular) but have
seen no email from Astahost. I am sure that it is the email I signed up with. Is there something I
missed, or should I contact an admin for a resend?....

be on a secure server. E.g. Do they have an URL that starts with 'http s ://' I ask this
because I plan on running CGIProxy and require a Secure Server for it. So, secure? Or not Secure?

I have searched around for a new web host and will trim my options down to Computing Host (since it
was recommended by one of the Mods here) and 1AND1. I want to use 1AND1 because of all that space
they give me (I know...all that space will probably not be used, but I want to have it anyway since

How long does it take your page to get authorised on this site and by which method do you find
out... on here or via email ? like after you have filled out and posted the application for

It's true, the layout is a reflection of the community. It portrays how professional the service
is, how people should act, and now new members will see the board as, at first glance. Basically, a
layout can make or break a community. My idea is this. I think the community would be even better
if we had a different layout. I noticed that the design we currently have uses no image, showing it
to be more conveinient, bandwidth-wise. Granted, that works, but it would be a lot cooler if we did
dab some images into the board. Sure it will leech off revenue but the commun....
