Ssh Access ?
Does astahost allow ssh access? (2) ok . i have to make sure that you give ssh access because this is the main reason i choose astahost.
I have read about that in your site , but i had the surprise to encounter free hosting providers
that susposedly give this service, but after you register you find out that it's not quite true
so if anyone can confirm that this host offers SSH i'll continue the process of gathering
points thank you also , i tried to search 'shell' and 'secure shell' and nothing
came out .. so i included those words fore future searched because 'SSH' do....
Spam Issues...is Astahost Selling Our Addresses?
(10) I have spam in my inbox sent to astahost. @spamgourmet.com. Only astahost got this address, and
it's not likely some chinese spammers guessed it either. Nor do I post it on any posts, nor is
it viewable on my profile here on the site. Was there a user db compromise or is someone selling

Astahost Vs. Trap 17
(8) I know Astahost and Trap 17 both use Xisto in terms of Hosting. However, are there any differences
between the two site in terms of web service, do the free hosting programs have any differences
among them. Also, I used to be a member of Trap17 as I once had an old site there. It seems to me
that their community is larger than the one here at Astahost, or at least more active. Is Astahost a
newer service or something? Also, if there are no differences present between these two very similar
websites than why are they seperate websites, wouldn't it benefit o merge the....

Can I Use Jdbc With Astahost?
(0) I am not sure if it is the server but whenever I try to connect to a database with Java I get the
error "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver". I looked it up and apparently it means the Driver file isn't
found. I didn't get an error while compiling which is why I think it might be Astahost. So is it
an error with my computer (and you can connect to Astahost Mysql Server with Java) or the server
doesn’t support jdbc which might be because on the Mysql server page it says that jdbc might
not be available? Any Suggestions? Thanks, Sparkx....

(4) I've been with astahost running my website for nearly 2 months, and that is long enough to have
a good enough opinion to review, so I'll go ahead. Astahost is, so far, the best host I've
ever used. My previous, Core-Fusion, was almost as good, but sadly they changed their post-to-host
system to needing to make 50 posts a month rather than, say, 10 good posts. Astahost works
differently, and judges by the wordcount of a post, and it's quality. A good 5-line post will

Reactivating Hosting Account
Had a 30points hosting account, then left AstaHost of a while, and now (3) Well, about a year ago I did apply for the 30 credits hosting account, here in AstaHost. I kept my
site up for some months, but after some time the site idea kind of died, I wasn't able to post
regurlarly enough to keep ti up and running. Now, I gathered up with a friend to start a new and

poor and slow free server. I was wondering what do I have to do in order to reactivate my old

i noticed the forum redirects.. (3) i was wondering if this were the intended function of the faqs section, or if a username is faqs,
and somehow that section of the forum redirects there... just a question as it appears to be the

A Suggestion For Astahost
(5) I rather like many features that Astahost provides, and it's been a great two years here. There
is one proposal that I'd like to make concerning the credits. And no, it's not about getting
more credits per word or anything like that, but rather that an email reminder every time my credits
fall below a certain number. (Say five or ten credits?) would be really, really nice. I think
it'd be easier to post on time that way as my current schedule is very tight and I often end up
estimating my post/check cycles on Astahost to be slightly off. Just a suggestio....
Astahost Problem
(16) I have been having trouble with astahost for the past few days but now it is worse then it has been.
I think I may have gotten banned but I have enough host credits. Whenever I go onto my website or
cpanel (or anyone else’s website that is hosted on astahost). I get: The domain "www.
.astahost.com" is invalid. Here is an example: http://faqs.astahost.com/ Does anyone know what is
wrong? Has anyone else noticed this problem? I just wanted to bring it to your attention. It seems

Can't Access Astahost Hosteed Sites (including Cpanel And Ftp)
(21) Well its been about a week now since i havent been able to access anything hosted on the gamma
server (including the gamma.xisto.com address) and its starting to annoy me. my brother "co-owns" a
site hosted here and he hasnt been able to go on it or anything so he told me to ask about it. So
it was when i was uploading EZ Publish (via ftp) to my site it happened. after like 500 files it
lost connection and wouldnt connect. later on i found that i couldnt get on my site or cpanel
either. i then went on my best friends site hosted here and couldnt access it so i went on o....

Joomla In Astahost
(7) Hi i'm new at this web host and before i create my account i have some questions about this web
site and joomla. My last web host was x10hosting.com. Its very good and has everything that is
needed but when i use the search engine of joomla it gives me an error and i cant build the site
without the search engine. The error that gives me is: Fatal error: SUHOSIN - Use of eval is
forbidden by configuration in (...) : eval()'d code on line 110 I went to some foruns and some
people said that x10hosting have some features disabled and thats why it gives this error....

How About A New Layout For Astahost ?
another spur-of-the-moment idea! (8) It's true, the layout is a reflection of the community. It portrays how professional the service
is, how people should act, and now new members will see the board as, at first glance. Basically, a
layout can make or break a community. My idea is this. I think the community would be even better
if we had a different layout. I noticed that the design we currently have uses no image, showing it
to be more conveinient, bandwidth-wise. Granted, that works, but it would be a lot cooler if we did
