Hmm. Nice trick

. But I don't know why - call me old-fashioned - I don't trust sites that use scripts like that. I wondered how the TopMasala site could pull such an elaborate stunt, and my first impression was that they somehow copied the Google code. Google uses Python for their engine implementation, by the way. But on a second thought, I found a much easier way to do it...
Google provides a small search box for Websites that want to offer their visitors a Web-search functionality. The code for this search box is, for all intents and purposes, the same one used for the Mother Google Site. You don't actually get to see the code since you only use the interface, but you don't really have to. I think that the TopMasala site simply created a new interface - which is really simple and totally legal - around the Google-provided search box.
But it's not that big a deal, really. I mean, you're only gonna be at the Google Homepage for 2 seconds until you find the thing you were searching for. So I came up with a better use for this service...
Just enter your name, id, or text you want to
googlize, i.e. get it in a similar font and style to the ones Google uses. It will be output as a JPG or GIF file, which you can use elsewhere. I think that might be a nice trick, too.
