| | Hmm... It doesn't work on my XP. When I enter alt+255, a "y" with an umlaut (two dots) on top of it shows up. Definitely not an empty space. Maybe I have installed some special characters that US users don't usually install? |

it's nice, but useless if u ask me . @abartar: windows won't accept a folder with only a space in it @KDEWolf: that's extreme and totaly not efficient. What about seperated user account, file encryption and some weird folder structure ? Or maybe seperated computers .

QUOTE Or maybe seperated computers We have separated computers. And everybody prefers typing on my keyboard, so I am currently experiencing this kind of problem. Of course, I have nothing secret, so it's just for fun. And I use truekrypt when I happen to really have things I don't want to be seen.

No, abartar. Alt+255 is a hard break. NOT the exact same thing as a blank space. Alt+160 (I think) is however the same as space.

You know, I have a lot of tricks like that one. For instance, do you know the trick for quickly obtaining one million dollars ? I knew this trick but I unfortunately forgot how to do this.

[trick] Installing Xp Last And Still Dual Boot
For Windows Vista (0) QUOTE This was a tough one, but I managed to prove my theory that XP can be installed last and
still added to the bootloader. It was simple to do with two cmd lines, but damn hard to find and
figure out. My first problem getting Vista off of XP (I didn't want to use VistaBootPro in
solving this puzzle) so I could add XP after the Vista install without any traces of it left from
the bootloader. I could have reinstalled XP and cleaned it up, but a little research revealed a much
quicker way with bootsect.exe. The syntax is: E:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force (....

Can You Create A Folder Name "con"
Is it possible to create a folder named "CON" in Windows? (19) I tried in both Windows XP Home and Professional. If you try to make a folder named "CON" Windows XP
renames it back to what it was. So creating a new folder with the name "CON" just renames it to "New
Folder". The bug seems like a variable that got treated as a string or vice-versa. Trying to create
the folder from a cmd prompt failed with an error "The directory name is invalid.". This also works
when you try to create a file called "CON", or "CON.". ".CON" shows up the way it should. Somewhere
I found the reason that CON stands for CONsole which is device name but....
