If you are confused with Flash MX (which there are a lot of tutorials online for you to view and learn), you might want to try something little more user friendly like Swish 3D.... Now what are you planning to do with your website??? If you are interested in turning certain pictures into 3d objects or use simple 3d shape objects swish 3d would work great for you... And once you become more advance, there is a 3d max plugin to use with swish 3d... If you dont know of 3d max, it is a complicated graphix software people use for 3d animation... Many professional animation movie makers use it..... Or if you remember about the dancing baby back in the days... It was created by 3d max... Check it out at Erain.com, you could actually look at what type of graphix you could create with swish 3d in their picture and video gallery... pretty neat... Hope that helped.. Chin chin..

Hello I am new in the forum but I recommend to you to use swish is much more facil that Macromedia Flash. I am of Hispanic speech so I do not speak the English very well. Luck Falperez

Yeah I agree aswell, I find the program swish to be alot better than Flash programs... although I am a n00b to flash designs and lacks in skill in this area so my opinion really isn't all that valid. lol

if you plan on using flash for a while and this is not a 1-time flash deal, i'd say go with learning flash and don't get 3rd party softwares such as Swish3D.. The reason is that you're limited to what you can create whereas in Macromedia you have full opportunity at getting into every aspect of flash.. not only that you will also come out with a language/software under your belt.. if you ever plan on designing sites for money, people will see Swish3D on your skills and laugh thinking your new and will never hire you :l

If you are willing to spend a little time studying them you will learn alot. Other 3rd party applications do not have all the capabilities and versatility that Flash has. Flashkit is a great resource for any flash user from beginer to advanced. Also Flash comes with tutorials in the help files. In another thread I did suggest a program called Swish that I used for a short time long time ago. It was easy, but I quickly became bored with it.

Loading External Images In Flash 8
(0) Hi, I am trying to load an external image into a flash document using the following code. CODE

} When I load the image, nothing happens. If I enter the wrong location for the image, I get

3d Software
(9) I was just wondering what 3D animation software you people use, and why? I've been hopping
around from 3dsMax to maya, then to lightwave, I messed around with bryce3d for a while. A few years
back I learned about blender3D, and evern since the interface overhaul I've been using it ever
since. It covers everything I need it to. So what do you guys use and why? Any specific thing you
like about that package? I know with blender, I love how the keyboard is the main user interface.
Not the mouse using graphical menus. The interface and its size. It's not bloated ....
First Flash Effort

Looping A Flash Animation Certain Times?
also sound syncing. (0) Ok, I am creating a short flash movie and I need some help. My first two frames is my loader, a
basic, "IfFrameLoaded; Goto" type function. The next 9 frames is a small animation that I want to
loop for exactly 20.02 seconds, and then I want to move from that animation and background music,
into another animation and background sound. I'm sort of at a loss as to how to do this. Is
there some way I can count the amount of time that a flash file has been loaded, and then have it
switch to another layer with the other animation and sound on it? A "Goto; Layer 2, Frame ....

Loading Flash Content + Sound
(9) I'm having some trouble loading flash content and sound together. I would like for the content
of the flash movie to load up exactly when the sound does, but usually the sound loads a little
faster than the flash and the content is a little lagged/slow playing before it kicks in and
sync's up. Could anyone provide some insight as to how I would load the content and sound
together, so that it does not lag? P.S. I've already tried putting the sound in the first frame

Importing Wmv Into Flash 5
(3) I need to import a WMV into flash 5, but I'm having a very hard time doing so. Obviously, I
cannot import it directly. I have tried using DivX Doctor to change the WMV into an MPG (which
works) and then importing the MPG into Ulead Gif Animator, so that I could save the MPG as a gif,
and import it into flash. However, whenever I attempt to import WMV that I've converted into
MPGs into Ulead, I always get an error and Ulead shuts itself down. This ONLY happens with MPGs that
were once WMVs. Does anyone know how I can fix this, or know of a better way to convert a....
