| | So I install Windows 2000 and everythig is running fine right. Well thats what I though untill I noticed that my Dvd Rom wouldn't read DVD's and that My DVD burner wouldnt burn. I went and downloaded the most recent drivers off of HP's website, but when I went to install them, I get this following error.
Philips DVD8401 8x DVD+R/RW Drive Firmware Update
Your system is not configured with this drive.
It does not need to be updated.
I havent even tried to update the DVD-ROM yet, I am planing on switching to Linux, and just need my burner to work so I can mount and burn my boot disk.
Please help, this is an emergency! |

Cd Burner Can't Burn Anymore After Installing Vmware
(4) Hi, one of my friends is having problems with the VMware Workstation program (using version 5.5).
After installing it he couldn't burn any CDs from Windows (outside VMware) anymore. I checked
all the settings and it looks ok. Don't have any burning software installed in that computer
except the default burning feature in Windows XP Home. What is disabling him from burning CDs? This
is what I did. I selected a file to burn. Then clicked on write these files to CD. Clicked Next.
Then it says "Insert a writable disc to continue". This is a good CDRW that I just era....

LG-GSA-5163D Super-Multi External DVD burner w/firewire The software i use is Roxio Toast Titanium
6 the lead in is a little slow but couldent ask for a better dvd burner it burns all formats of
DVD's and is DL capable allthough i havent burned a DL DVD yet manily due to the price of them.

Right, so I have two computers and they're linked with a Linksys Networking ..err.. thing. It
worked fine for nearly a year, and then suddenly stopped. I know it's hooked up correctly
because nobody touched the wires in between the time when it was working and when it wasn't.

Nero Problems
Fixing Nero Problems (32) Hey everyone Im having a bit of trouble using Nero for burning CD's. Everytime I start the
burning process, it will get say about 45% done and then it will stop dead. Usually you can hear the
actual drive itself whilst the CD is burning, then it will just stop and go quiet. Its really
annoying because I am wasting countless CD's on it. Does anyone have any suggestions or is it my

Problems With My Dvd Burner
(7) I bought a 16x internal DVD +/- RW/ +/-R Dual Layer I/O Magic drive a few months ago. I am having
some troubles getting the drive to read and burn at anything above 4x. I currently have Windows XP
Home Edition installed on my PC. If anyone has any ideas as to why my drive doesnt seem to want to
