| | I am planning to get a second hd drive for my pc and run gentoo as well as xp. Is it possible to boot from a secondary drive or should i install gentoo on the end of my primary hd and then mount /home on the second one?

I have three disks, I installed Mandrake on the third disk without problem, probably gentoo should be able to do the same thing. I think Mandrake installed everything on the third disk except the boot part of lilo on the Master Boot Record in order to have the dual boot working correctly. And everything worked fine with Mandrake, directly at my first trial, so should it also work for you. Hope this helped Yordan

As far as linux is concerned it doesnt matter.. with linux you can have as many or as few partitons as you like, and you can put the partitons anywhere you like. Windows somtimes gets upset if it isnt on the first partiton of the primary drive, but the linux boot loader (GRUB) can fix that should you need to move windows to anouther partiton.

and it adds blank lines (being the tag because that's what does) around things when I
want those lines to be close together. In Tables, it's really annoying to have ... inside

Question About Opengl Codes.
(0) Hey! I've started to learn windows API programming. And I've been using OpenGL. I am
following a tutorial, But I didn't understand every comment. So I rewrote the code some times to
learn it, and made my own comments. Some of the rows have the comment "What do this row do??". I
would be happy, if you could explain those rows to me =), please. And BTW: I am only on the first

Press Any Key To Boot From Cd....(help)
(2) My ps2 keyboard is broken. So i buy new usb keyboard and it works good. I am wanting to install a
fresh OS (Windows XP Prof.), but when i start it up (with the OS CD in the CD drive)- the keyboard
lights up (like it's working) but when it comes time to Press any key to boot from CD...the
keyboard doesn't work. (It goes to bios and works fine with configurind boot option)....

How To Defrag MFT, Pagefile etc. On Boot?
(8) Iv'e tried a few applications and since the last few days, aside from the windows defrag utlity,
none them defrag, they just don't do anything....... Some of them reckon the MFT needs to be
defragged, but there in-built support for defragging just as windows starts up, always fails, it
just sits there on a loading screen and does bugger all...... This used to never be a problem on
previous windows xp installs, so this particular configuration must be borked somehow. Does anyone
know of a utility that can defrag the MFT/PageFile etc on boot?, like the old boot ....

doesn't work that well. It is my preferred ALTERNATE search engine (my favourite is

Ipod Hardware And Software Question
(9) I had a problem with my 40GB 4th Generation iPod. It was giving me the sad iPod icon. I tried
restoring it to factory default but it wasn't even detected. So I opened up the iPod and tried
reseating all the cables. I wasn't paying attention and forced the hard drive cable in (I know,
stupid thing to do especially for me). I'm usually more careful, but now the extra "pin" (maybe
a ground) at the end is broken and stuck into the wrong side of the hard drive. I put it in the
