Hey guys which download manger do you use.I use download accelator plus it is fast and too simple to use.I like kazaa but it use internet speed because iam using lan its not good for me.So which download manager do you use.

Well, since I have MSN i use msns download manager, whenm usually downloading things off download.com. Almost every download you get goes off of your internet speed, even if you nopen IE and download something off of that.

You could use the download manager that comes with Firefox, which is very reliable

Ditto For Opera

OR

Freshdownload - very simple to use and effective download manager
Flashget - Very popular, haven't tried it myself
Free Download Manger - what I use, tons of features for free, and wonderful site crawlers.

DAP is the most popular , but I found its interface to be the LAMEST ( if that's a correct word )

It is so DULL , it wasnt even designed, , it's just a list of features thrown at your face .... I hate it so much

I've been using Getright for the past 4 years , I found it great but I honestly was using an illegal version , so I searched for a freeware alternative .....

and i found LeechGet 2004 , it's simple , fast and very customizable if u want it to be .... very recommended ..

I've been using GetRight for years and years. But the current trila version is a bit annoying... So inpired by this thread I'm gonna fix my download manager. As I type this I'm downloading that LeechGet. BTW thanks for the hint CryptonX.

This may be a stupid question, but is the Download Managers interface THAT big of a deal, I mean...you rarely have to look at it, so whats the big deal of getting a new manager just because of the interface?

well, i wouldnt use any of the download managers, they just give you popups and viruses and they dont go away even if you unistall them and delete them...your best off going to www.dc++.com and downloading direct connect! its kinda complicated, but once you get the hang of it, its easy to use with fast connections and everything! also now download managers, no adds or anything!

i see, you hate spywares or trial version with pop ups do you?
well if you register those dl manager, you won't see this thing. and spyware is only added on free softwares, so they get extra cash when its installed by someone

I use Firefoxe's, but otherwise I wouldn't use one, since they can sometimes truncate files and such. I guess they're probably getting better now though, don't know.

Do ou have Broadband or Dialup?

If you have dial-up then i think its a good idea to try the download accelerator. But if you have broadband then its a waist if time and drive space. I know from experience and testing that all download accelerators do is for the most part put addware onto your computer and do really no difference because you have a high speed connection allready. But with dialup i think that i would giv eyou mpore opportunity to to download at a little faster rate. This is just my opinion. I would love to hear what other say about it.

I want also to recommend the internet download manager IDM. I dont know but it is the only download manager that i got upto 5 times faster downloading. Besides that it also has a easy interface to use.
So i think the best choice is to be IDM.
Now you should go and get it
