Destroyed Raw Partition On MP4 Player - how to create RAW partition

mechanik
I accidentally formatted RAW partition on my new MP4 player because on the player was setup in online mode – multi read which shows in Windows both parts of flash disk FAT and RAW partition. I was nod precaution enough and I pointed in Windows Explorer on this part of disk and question from operating system ‘the disk is not formatted would you like to format now’ and I pressed yes. When the format was finished in the explorer I saw two separated disks one 2MB and other 117MB but complete capacity is 2GB. The player is not starting any more and I don’t know what to do any more.

If someone knows how to solve this problem I will be very grateful to him.

Windows XP?

Go into Control Panel | Administration Tools | Computer Management | and look for Disk Management, find the drive setup for it and Delete that partition that was formatted, RAW partitions is considered free space to Windows, your MP4 player will most likely only understand FAT formatting, which I think you might have done FAT32 formatting on it. Hopefully this did not contain information needed for your MP4 player, but most likely it's built in rather than on the disk. When removed, try FAT formatting also...

You might also want to visit your Vendors website for your MP4 player and download any Utilities it may offer, which should be able to perform a low level format, normal format and quick format and maybe resetup your player.

Cheers,

MC

partition formatting lost for good? (6)
I've had this happen to 3 hard drives in the last couple of months. First, a friend gave me his
80 GB HD which he had dropped from about a foot off the desk. It registers in the BIOS as an 80GB
disk, but windows refuses to go past that. I'm thinking he knocked the needle out of alignment,
and whether this is the case or not, is it repairable? The second thing that happened, both to the
C partition of a brand new laptop, and to a brand new 120GB hard disk i bought. the first was
formatted with basic, the second dynamic. All NTFS of course. So one fine day they j....

I have a strange problem with my computer and Windows XP - it simply refuses to play cds. The DVD

open one of the tracks in Media Player this error appears: Invalid MCI device ID. Use the ID

Hi all, I saw quite a few messages here about partitioning schemes and hdd partitions in
general. Here I present two utilities, unfortunately NONE freeware - yet they are something that is
a MUST HAVE for all users. Both of them ask you to choose One or Multiple Partitions that you wish
to protect and then LOCKS them up for good. This doesn't mean that they write protect your
partitions - you still are able to read/write from those partitions, EVEN DELETE them, Wipe out your
Windows folder completely.. in effect trashup your partition completely - and yet as s....

How do you partition your HDD? (30)
How do you partition your HDD? Personally, i haven't used a partition for my pc but i have done
partitioning on HDD's previously in the company where i worked as desktop support. In the office
i would use Norton's PartitionMagic and it was an easy way to partition a HDD. I also Googled
"Partition software" and i found alot of programs that you can use for HDD partition. However, a
friend of mine told me that using a third-party partitioning program isn't really that reliable.
Any of you guys know anything partitioning? Kindly share your knowledge. Thanks!....
