I know of some free tools to create animated flash tutorials, but does anyone know what programs are used to create the tutorials from these two sites? http://www.crucialp.com/site/help.php http://demodemo.com/ I know very little on Macromedia Flash itself, so if there is another program that is used to create these, that would be great. Thanks.

These two website I think they use CSS.

You can also you Frontpage to make your own web pages or Photoshop CS Live works too. You can get pretty good results with it man.

I am using Fronpage and it works good man. I do basicly everything with it.

I'm interested in getting hold of a program that can create Flash too, other than by Macromedia Flash. Is there other software, preferably free, that can do Flash animation? Or is my guess that Flash is Macromedia's propriety technology and only their products can create Flash? Thanks for any advice.

It using CSS, I use these too with Dreamweaver. and the animation using Flash. Curently I use MXs.

Its better to think whats good in your page first, speed or appearance ?? some animation needs more time to load, but nice to see.. Before flash era, all animation still using GIF animation, but it store frame as image. Lots of memory needed. Flash using vector to creating animation (unless you're using image but not trace it first, tracing is for converting image to vector graphic) , so it become smaller, and faster to load.

I'm not that worried about speed as I want to get some tutorials up on my site. Having those flash tutorials would be great since they have a good presentation on what to do and how to do something on your screen.

You said they were using CSS? I don't know much about CSS, but how did they make it animated like it was Flash or a GIF image?
