| | I went on vacation for a week starting last Saturday, and when I came back yesterday I discovered two things.
1. The template I had on my website 'disappeared'. All my text and links are still there, but the template is gone.
2. I can't enter the cPanel. When I try to enter it says some ip (if you need it I'll give it to you, I think it's 60. something) has timed out. I tried it several times with the same result. If you're wondering, yes I DO have enough hosting credits, and I had more than enough while I was on vacation.
I tried to enter my webmail, and it too was down. A friend who went on my website while I was away says that the template disappeared on Friday (two days ago), so I don't know if it was a mass thing, or just me. Any help (especially from a Moderator or Administrator) would be greatly appreciated. |

I noticed it to. I just signed up for computing host and its "supposed Instant setup". I got the following message when I went to sign in to the Cpanel: QUOTE Great Success !

Maxflegar, It seems to me that your CSS file is missing. Your site referrs to HTML [url=http://neuromagnum.spacesocket.com/main.css]http://neuromagnum.spacesocket.com/main.css[/url] for CSS files which does not exist. So it's not that your "template" is gone but your css file is not loading. It's always a good practice to have your own css file rather than hotlinking from someone else. miikerocks, Trap17 forum and your hosting are in two different servers--therefore one does not affect the other when it comes to up or down time. And I'm not sure what you mean by QUOTE payed (paid) for instant setup when Trap17 and AstaHost are free web hosting servers. Once I can establish database connection to Trap17 forum I'll know more about your account status.

Ok, thanks a lot. That must be it. It was my friends template and he emailed me telling me he shut down his site, so that must be it. I'll get my own CSS now, thanks a lot  . Edit: One problem. If I can't access my cpanel, how do I change the css?

Can you use a FTP client program to connect to your hosting? I'm trying to figure out if you cannot access cpanel due to IP block or wrong password. By connecting with a FTP client you can find out if your password is correct or not. If your password is incorrect use the Manage page to reset your cpanel password.

I can't even get to the password screen... as soon as I click cpanel, I get the ip has timed out thing. I think it's 64. something - and no, I don't believe it's my IP.

Try accessing your cpanel by going through one of those proxy servers. Do not enter your login and password. What you are looking for is if you are able to see the login pop-up when using a proxy server. If you do see the login box, contact Xisto Support and submit a support ticket asking if your IP is listed under the ban list. Provide Xisto Support with your true IP address.

I don't really have any problems accessing my account at astahost CPanel, it seems to work, I use mydomain.com:2082 to access it and I don't have any problems, just wanted to add this.

youhide is not showing your login screen well. That's why you're getting that message. Try using freeproxyserver{dot}net. When you enter your domain/cpanel you will see the following screen: QUOTE Connection Selection ....

Use this Regular Expression with the cPanel email filter to limit your (0) I'm so irritated with the amount of spam I get on the email accounts I have hosted at AstaHost.
It isn't the servers fault that I get so much junk mail! It wouldn't be so bad but my junk
mail filter on my home system doesn't scan IMAP accounts which I use since my email client
won't separate POP3 accounts properly. So I finally got to the point I had to do something!

Hosting Not Working For Some Reason?
(3) I put this under Cpanel because that doesn't work either. This forum works fine but whenever I
go to my site I get an odd error I have never seen before. First off it takes a long time to load

Cannot Access Cpanel.
(11) It's been quite some time since I have even tried, but all I am getting is "Unable to connect"
in firefox. Also faqs.astahost.com is failing with the same message (main site url and forums them
selves seem to work fine....), what is up with different parts failing (it used to happen several
times a day with the forums), and it's random at which is working and which isn't lol. Well
the forums haven't given me any issue in a long time at least.....

(7) I love installing scripts using fantastico (it is very easy), but I noticed that some scripts
don't dowload correctly. Currently only one that I have noticed is Noah's Classifieds, it
has an error in the code. I don't know if you could fix this or not but I just wanted to point
that out. It is not the installation, but rather php functions that have errors. Erros inlcude:
-Notice: Undefined property:... -Invalid argument supplied... Maby it is noah's script and not

Cpanel Saving Problems
(6) I was using CPanel's editor to edit a file and then I attempted to save said file. Apparently an
error popped up claiming that there was a fatal error in the directory and that it could not save. I
wasn't sure what had happened, so I restarted Firefox/cleared cookies and cache a few times.
Then, deciding that it was not possible to use the online editing feature, I switched to simply
uploading the file and replacing the old one. However, after uploading, cPanel continued to return
errors, similar to the one below. I'm not sure what exactly is going on; can ....

Is it possible to access without port 2083 (4) Whenever I give the control panel address it changes it to port number 2083. We are behind a
firewall and uses internet thorugh a proxy server which do not allow this SSL port. It gives the

cPanel And FTP Down?
(2) This doesn't make sense...both of these seem to be down. Can't remember the exact address
for ftp, but I tried a combination and none of them work (tried ftp.astahost.com and also with my
weapons.astahost.com). My cPanel doesn't seem to respond at all when I type it in the address

I Give Up - How Do You Work This cPanel Thing?
(8) Alright, I'll start from the top. I am totally new to all this, so everyone please bear with
me, I'm not great with alot of high tech talk. What I am having a problem with is just putting

Cpanel Disc Quota Viewer Reports Incorrectly
(8) ok, this is really strange because I deleted a folder with tonnes of stuff in it because I don't
want it. The folder's name is wikipediaforums-cjb-net, but it's still on the disc viewer and
my space allocation counter is still 29 MB before and after I deleted it and the folder and files

Cpanel Works Slowly
Why is cPanel so heavy to access? (7) Hi, I'm trying to configure my cPanel, but of some kind of reason does it works extremly slowly
and it leak the icon images. My Internet connection is standard adsl, and when I had dealup

bit about a demo cPanel - question four. It said that you can login to
